Australia has had a lot to deal with lately, but this is the last straw ...

    Fire then Flood ...

Now Cyclones (Hurricanes) formed over the week-end east of Darwin ...

    Australians can handle that.

FIRE, FLOOD ... but PESTILENCE ??

Rick Astley and AH HA are touring down under

FFS ... what did they do to deserve this?

... and no, I'm not attending either Concert
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

What's this, more frequent extremes of weather?

It's almost like the climate is changing or something.

Yeh ... the Indian Monsoon drifts lower, drenching the 'Top End' (of Australia) and the formation of Cyclones.

Australia was relatively heavily forested until the aborigines arrived.

They used slash and burn environmental management to feed themselves and in the process precipitated one the greatest extinction events of megafauna in the past 20,000 years.

It rivals the extinction events in North and South America not to mention many others in smaller islands in the pacific and elsewhere.

Collapse by Jared Diamond is a great book describing these events.

The latest research appears to argue against that theory:

Aboriginal Australians co-existed with the megafauna for at least 17,000 years
