Repatriation flights to UK from Manila will leave today
Coronavirus: UK citizens furious at PS1,000 repatriation flights from Philippines while travellers in Peru paid just PS250 | The Independent
^Got curious about that since I've been watching sporadically the lockdown vlogs of a Brit family who are in Siargao.
Summary: the mother of the guy, 71 y.o. (from Burma but now a UK citizen) has decided to take the emergency flight to London. She wants to go home - own house & surroundings. The guy (half Brit, half Burmese), his wife and 3 y.o kid have decided to wait it out in Siargao island since there's no positive case of covid-19 there.
If you watch their earlier lockdown vids - they were very positive. Now, 3 weeks into the lockdown, they're getting a bit edgy but still trying to remain positive.

On a personal note - just heard from a long time friend who lives in New Jersey, USA. NJ is the 2nd to NY, in terms of covid cases. He's immunocompromised and is worried. I told him to stay healthy, keep positive. He's worried that he may have it, since he has some symptoms. His doc said that if he feels worse, to get himself tested. I told him to keep in touch, and that I hope he gets better and it's not the dreaded disease....
