Usually, I saw 2 or 3 joggers in the evening at my moo baan. Since the restrictions kicked in, it now looks like the start line of the London Marathon as the sunsets.

Went on another shopping excursion yesterday. TP and paper towel aisle was a repeat of the pic I posted a couple of weeks ago. Empty. The more important things were mainly in stock. Milk, eggs, bread, etc.. Meat was pretty picked over but I did manage get my hands on some items for Q. Now if the weather would only cooperate. Plus I'm a little light on propane. Haven't even tried a tank exchange yet. Have plenty of pellets and wood chips on hand. Wife's employer is talking of shutting down completely...no official word from hdqrts as of yet though.

Store had signs posted now about maintaining distance...but put up some cockamamie rope barrier scheme that only succeeded in bunching people together at the entry and exits. Didn't seem very well planned.

edit: It was also announced that schools will be closed for the rest of the school year statewide. e-learning the kids are supposed to be doing not working...system keeps crashing.

The distancing/queuing is fairly well organised in the UK with the 2m spacing, cept this morning i was stood about 3m from the bloke in front and i reckon i was smoking his fag more than him.

The supermarkets have arrows taped on the floors to indicate traffic flow around the aisles and of course almost to a man every woman ignores them.

Mmm. I put the bins out Monday before i popped off, they were supposed to be emptied Weds for Gen Rubbish, Recycling & Bottle box. Come home and the Bottle Box is intacto, unmolested and so i now have to undertake the walk of shame to keep further filling it with the spunked out Thatchers bottles until it gets emptied .. i may repatriate it after dark to spare further embarrassment.

Found out what the rope barrier scheme was really about. Seems they are going to begin limiting the amount of people in the store at one time. Beginning this coming week. So they were already prepping for that last week. Other retailers following suit.

    Should be interesting.

Well, I'm happy I got back to Thailand in time. The lockdown in Bavaria would have killed me quicker than the virus. At least here I have acres of space without having to be close to anyone but family.

Weekly chat with my dad was good news. Sister and her husband are recovering well from the virus. Dad thankful he's stayed well clear of care homes and happy living on basic food. Keeps telling me it reminds him of the war but at least there's no bombs going off all around.

Who gives a sh!t about money...freedom wins every time.

^ Further is a word missing from that last sentence. I am so cashed up i have decided to hell with loo roll shortages, i have taken to wrapping my empties in the stuff; stealth empties.

In theory, the base ideals are keep folks from mingling with one another - smallish groups are still crowds.
Therefore - restricting, containing and isolating the movement of this bug.

Seems to me, from simple observations, a healthy percentage of the world's population aren't getting it.
Refusing to comprehend the nature of this nasty pathogen and easily contagious/infecting as it is. Protective masks or not.

Folks are still out-n-about, freely, without a care -
Remembering the asymptomatic [and contagious] that abounds.

Don't know what is worse - the highly ignorant authorities or the like populations.

Notice where the growth of cases and death are occurring currently and retain a very shallow learning curve -
    These populations are suspect

Works here. Lines at supermarkets and max 40 people allowed in at one time. One leaves, another enters. The last aisle is the start of the check-out queue

^It won't go over well here I can tell you that much. We're trying to limit our shopping trips to every two weeks. May limit that to monthly now.

Apparently propane is in as much demand as toilet paper here. Been checking around today online and by phone and all the local places that do propane tank exchanges are out of stock.

    WTF...

^That's going to require some modifications... But now that you mention it I wonder if that's out of stock too. I'm trying to imagine why the 20# tanks of propane are out of stock.
