BTW will they do a 60-day extension from the date in the passport or the date you request it?
are they giving a 60 day extension now on a 30 day arrival? usually it's based on the date of expiration of the initial stamp, so in total that should give you 90 days from the day of arrival

And that is it. As of 5pm today i locked my office and am officially on "working from home" until (best bet for now) 17th April.

Pretty much the first time in my adult life i have not gone into work daily (including weekends) when in country.

Going to be interesting to see how this goes. At the computer at 9.00 am, or bloody mary's for breakfast.

Fuck! Tomato juice........maybe a trip tomorrow.

Not me but just learned of a mate who is stuck in Vientiane.

Can't get hold of the required insurance policy to re-enter and apparently restricted in movement both sides.

The last decade this item has disappeared from every locale I habit, fekking crisis.

thank god for G&T still being available - though admittedly not a (known) morning drink.

    Bucks fizz works, though.

I lived through the lockdown in Kuwait following the Iraq invasion and subsequent months as human shield hostage. Been having some intrusive deja vu moments.

Settling down to do the time.

By chance, didn't you happen to witness the famous incubators and the kids ditched around?

    How has it affected me?
Been out of work for a few weeks and now and they are talking about schools possibly closing for the rest of the school year which keeps me out of work till September. Living with my OCD mother at the moment who has generalized anxiety and is at 110% of panic over this.
Step dad was recently told he has a mass on his lungs that may be cancerous and may not be able to get a biopsy because the Coronavirus takes precedence.
Other then that, waiting for the government emergency fund that I can apply for early April where I should get $2000 a month which I need to pay bills and live.
    Fun times.

God bless to all during these crazy times!

COVID has shown me how many entitled coonts there are working around me in the shipyard. Make the lazy fookers use annual or sick leave and most of the coonts would be back to work the next day. Government makes it too easy to be put on paid admin leave or teleskating.

The babies in incubators story was, I believe, simply Kuwaiti/US propaganda.

by and large the Iraqi troops that I saw behaved better than expected. One of the girls on my flight was raped by a soldier. The culprit was identified and executed. They even offered a pistol to a BA crew member in case they preferred to do it themselves.

Spoke to my mum last night, my 91 year old grandmother has come down with some of the symptoms, she also has lupus. She's been ignoring most of the advice. Worrying times.
