2 Thai friends have lost their jobs.

1 tenant lost their's and probably has to return to their parents. I'll be kind and refund the deposit even though it's breaking the contract, provided they don't pinch the cutlery.

We've just received notice that my daughter's international school will be closed from tomorrow onwards. Apparently there's been an MoE directive that all international schools must close.

It's gonna be e-learning from now on and I've got a very steep learning curve on the IT front to get my daughter hooked up with her teachers.

We've had the kids home for a couple of months now. First the CNY hols then the virus, they're doing online classes. It's getting tedious. All the restaurants and movie theatres etc been closed for over a month. They've just opened the parks and beaches again but you have to have your temperature taken to enter. I feel silly waiting at the entrance with a thermometer in my butt. but it's worth it so the kids can have a play.

Well me sister just called to let me know their upcoming trip / visit has been postponed.

No great surprise at all but still disappointing. Was really looking forward to it. No BiL = less hangovers though so silver-linings and all that.

Missuses niece shares a dorm with someone who has been in close contact with a known covid-19 positive person. They are both in isolation (!) for 14 days. Oh, and can her parents borrow some money so they can buy supplies for her.

Yep. Just informed my Mum that we will have to postpone the trip on early April. She was in tears as she was really looking forward to seeing her Grandson.

I found out on Friday that big companies only think of their own profits and managers think administration is more important than development. Okay, I knew already and this is just confirmation. Bringing forward my holiday and extending until I'm ready to return is the only answer. Many developers being forced to take unpaid holiday if they can't get to work. Strong possibility of some workplaces shutting down completely. Airlines are not interesting in buying planes...more interested in working out what to do with the ones they have.

Full retirement by the summer? I think it is likely now.

Done my quarterly shopping wearing a facemask. It wasn't too bad actually.not many vegetables and there were no eggs or bread.

A breadmaker and chickens are good buys for those out in the sticks i'd say, although i guess there's plenty of rice.

Oh maggi noodles had gone too, so had to make do with Mama.

All grab taxis here are stopping running as of tomorrow's shutdown.

    Now for the alcohol run.

^ Are you going to attempt driving an actual car, or best to practice on the simulator a bit more?
