In other news. Got back home today and we have high number of olds in the village, today was the first time i have seen/heard an ambulance since this started as i was driving though. The Medics were parked up not far from the house and i noticed they had no PPE, nothing. Now since this shit kicked off i got a pack of proper medical face masks from one of my sisters (she's in the industry and worries about me) and another pack from the company - to date i've used none - Betts shoot me. But seeing the paramedics with nothing i popped in the house and bagged then and after some discussion passed them all 200 i have.

My sis won't be happy if she finds out, but she won't be if she finds me dead with them still un-opened either so at least they are getting some use.

Well, I gladly wear a face mask. Doesn't bother me in the least. Really don't care about the "oh, it's not a 100% effective". It does protect my lungs from and number of diseases and dirt and particulate pollution.

Added plus, you don't have to walk around with a plastic smile pasted on your mug.

I went into Kunming city centre last weekend for a few beers. The main drinking street was packed with revellers...all sitting close to each other and most without masks on. Felt a bit surreal after watching the news on BBC all week.

Otherwise, our school is still open with only 2 year groups in. All the other classes have to wait for government approval to start. I assume they are using us as guinea pigs to see how well (or badly) the students adjust to normal life. Also, one manager and an ESL teacher have been put on unpaid leave as they are still out of country. Will be some time, if ever, if we see them again.

We enjoyed the racket tonight it was good to let of some steam against my noisy neighbour.
The silly bint thinks it's acceptable to mow the lawn at 9.30 am when I'm in my pit sleeping off a hangover.
The Welsh cvnt is normally in bed when the sun sets , so knowing this I got the kids out in the garden with drums, cymbals, pots and pans.
Jeez did we make a racket to wake up Lucifer and show our appreciation for key workers.
The satisfaction from giving that ting tong Welsh bint a heart attack next door....priceless

Went to the factory in Samut Prakarn yesterday and upon arrival I was given soap wash, had my temperature taken and had to sign a disclaimer certifying that I didn't knowingly have the virus when entering the factory site.

I attended a meeting whereby the others present wear wearing masks and chairs wear positioned 2 metres apart.

The health and safety division head reported that 28 workers had been refused entry because of high temperature readings and all had been tested negative for Corvid after being sent to the hospital. As of yesterday none of the 1,500 employees had tested positive nor displayed symptoms for the virus.

I was also asked about the possibility of designing a mask which can be mass produced by injection moulding, is reusable and is more efficient regarding performance when compared to existing masks.

    My new project has commenced.

I see you've edited your post after our chat, fair enough . . . but if you're going to edit your post for clarity . . . couldn't you have gone just that one step further and cleaned it up all together?

Up here in the sticks we have to stand in line 2 meters apart outside a place like Makro for a pack of 2 per ID when they do have masks available. Only 1 ID per person per time. Cannot use the same ID twice. Suppiles run out quickly. I would guess a few hundred packs per session. We have found it impossible to purchae masks anywhere else

I wear a mask when out in town. I notice most 90%+ are now doing so. Just a couple of weeks ago it was only a small minority.
I must wear a mask when entering my place of work. At the moment I have to go in once a week to sign in, so hopefully I will be paid. For now I 'work' from home.

In the last week or so I have passed through about 6 'roadblocks'. The same roadblock each time. Only on one side of the road. I have been stopped twice. Both times those stopping me have been very interested in my recent movements, but have waived me on with a temperature check
I carry my Tabien Baan, passport, Thai id card & work permit at all times now when out. I haven't been outside of Thailand in more than 10 years

You are out every day nearly?
I'd be careful if I were you...Over 800 here in Malaysia have been arrested for non-essential travel. They note all the car regs and take those who are travelling too much down to the station.

Left the property for the first time in eight days this morning...a quick trip to the local Tesco. No eggs or ice cream. Spot where the eggs usually are had been filled with other items so didn't appear they were expecting an imminent delivery. Ice cream freezers were on but completely empty. Cannot think of why that would be the case in Pua.

Where are you? I have heard of similar (Tesco/BigC) shortages in Nakon Nowhere but just back from Makro Pattaya, some milks close to expiry discounted, no shortage of ice cream, eggs or anything else. Must confess to panic buying extra anchovies, olive oil, coconut water, beanz...

Supplies seem to be well organised, though I would put that down to Makro knowing their business rather than anything our glorious leaders might have done.

What are you guys doing regarding insurance?

My wife and three kids have medical coverage but when asked if this covered Covid-19 I was told no.
I have since taken out Covid-19 cover for them with GSB for 1 year, which will take effect 14days after form signing

My employer has taken out coverage for me

What professions or businesses do you reckon will be in high demand when these shutdowns end?

Barbers/hair salons would be highest priority I guess, then pubs and dentists.

Pua, in northern Nan province. Think our Tesco is literally end of line for distribution. At the start of the year we had a couple of weeks where basic items like yogurt, mushrooms and even potatoes were not in stock. Likely to be better in Nan city but really not interested in a big day out atm.
