I am affected. I have a ticket to Hanoi on March 31st. Now I cannot enter Vietnam with a British passport. And no F1 to watch even if I did go.
“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.
"And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
"And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed."

The lack of fear among Russians before the coronavirus explained
Residents of Russia are much less worried about the situation around the coronavirus than citizens of other countries. This opinion was expressed by psychologists in an interview with Nation News.
According to clinical psychologist Mikhail Khors, the lack of fear among Russians about coronavirus can be explained by the fact that the inhabitants of Russia are hardened by turmoil, among which the coronavirus is far from the worst.
“We had and there is nothing in the country, the end of the 80s - the beginning of the 90s, and the war in the streets, and the rampant crime, banditry,” Horse said. According to him, for Russians, the coronavirus is not so scary, because over the past 30 years in the history of the country there have been many events that have been associated with serious life tests.
At the same time, he noted that the younger generation of Russians is still more afraid of this disease than their parents. According to the psychologist, this is due to the fact that young people do not have the same experience as the older generation. In addition, parents often try to limit their children from the realities of life, Horse said.
“As a result, when they enter the real world, they have emotional difficulties: it turns out that it has competition, aggression, restrictions, and they suffer from this,” the psychologist believes.
On March 13, it was reported that in Russia over the last day another 11 people have been identified who have become infected with coronavirus. Five patients are in Moscow, three in St. Petersburg, and one more each in the Moscow Region, Leningrad Region and Perm Territory. Thus, a total of 45 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia.

Likely Songkran will be cancelled or reduced in duration.
Mother in her early 70's is self-isolating. 45 year-old daughter helping with deliveries etc.
Dad in his early 70's seems to typically bi-isolate with a succession of German, Filipino, Thai, French or Spanish GFs, so probably no really change there.
Seems the Ozzies are going nuts.

No more shopping buses from the compounds...all faculty to work from home (no buses full stop)...no flights coming or going for the next fortnight (no problem personally as I wasn't going anywhere for a couple of months)...
What an extraordinarily lousy year here in the sandpit. A major fire burns down the gym and rec centre on my compound the night before the first day of Fall term (still no facilities on the compound)...I get a split shift at work 7-3 and then 5-8 (the money was good though)...wholesale changes in policies several times in the midst of term...and now this COVID-19...
As Tomcat would say *sigh*
pues, estamos aqui
Did my last shop for a while this evening. First sign of a shortage, Foodland completely out of chicken. Never seen that before.
Chicken... That's an odd one, would've thought consumables like cleaners and toilet paper etc. would be first.
Might be a supply line issue or some such.
Shit are you the son that left? I am stuck here. Basically in the same boat as your sister. My Aunt has the sniffles so the county health department made her quarantine at home for the next two weeks.
I usually go have dinner with her a couple times a week but she has been not calling me since this thing. I know why.
Plenty strutting around here, including a new generation.
Not many geese, This maybe the reason:
"'I have', answered Gargantua, 'by a long and curious experience found out a means to wipe my bum. The most lordly, the most excellent, the most convenient that was ever seen. I have wiped my tail with a hen, with a cock, with a pullet, with a calf's skin, with a hare, with a pigeon, with a cormorant, with an attorney's bag, with a Montero, with a falconer's lure. But to conclude,
I say and maintain that of all the torcheculs, arsewisps, bumfodders, tail-napkins, bunghole cleansers, and wipe-breeches, there is none in the world comparable to the neck of a goose, that is well downed, if you hold her head betwixt your legs. And believe me therein upon mine honour, for you will thereby feel in your nockhole a most wonderful pleasure, both in regard of the softness of the said down and of the temporate heat of the goose, which is easily communicated to the bum-gut and the rest of the inwards, in so far as to come even to the regions of the heart and brains.'"
