This self isolation thing is going to take the edge off any holiday.

    Q. So how was the two week holiday?

    A. Quiet, lonely, didn't spend much. And now i have landed back home i have another two week holiday.

CNX Cricket 6's just been cancelled. First year it won't have been held in a very long time.

Dunno if that really effects me though I'd more or less decided to skip it regardless so this just saves me the time making excuses.

Select the language pair, or reuse the previous. Of the 103 languages available the recently used, are added to the top of the selection list. lf reversing the from/to hit the icon.

Either select a sentence using the mouse, as in a "copy", the selected text is displayed in the "from" box, select the "go" icon and the translation appears. If too much text for the display box one can scroll up and down.

The text is then available to be copied into another app.

Back on theme. Makro was temp scanning people before letting them in. Two people were booted from a queue of about 7 (when i lined up).

Got about three weeks of necessities, but realized necesities was broader than i thought. Washing up liquid, a fuck of a load of cat food, detergent???

Was surprised that the missus got it, that this was stockpile, and not for use. We packed everything away and she was cool with that. Even though we put three big bags of rice away, she went out and bought a couple of kilos from the local shop for daily use, and some more cat food.

Bless her, we discussed everything later, and her only concern was rice and salt. With that in place she is a happy bunny. But she kind of would like a packet or two of dried chillie flakes.

Todays shop was we will survive for three weeks (rice, noodles, salt, etc), one one more to tomorrow for we will not go bat shit crazy (,chillie flakes for her, coffee, tinned tomatoes, a few dried herbs etc for me).

I work in the film industry and just got laid off as most productions have been shut down. Bad timing as I just got back from a 3 month hiatus. All because some stupid Chinese peasant decided he wanted to eat a wild bat.

^Welcome back Pickel. Sorry to hear about your work.

Cancelling the Aus GP seems a tad fukked up.

Surely they could still hold the event without onsite spectators.

It is not like a football match where the presence of the spectators is an essential ingredient of the experience for viewers around the world.

I'm not aware of any changes.

The last notifications I received were:

    1. My confirmed limo pick-up time.
    2. My confirmed 1st class cabin pod number, BKK-PKK-BKK.
    3. My Chinese Foreign Ministers personally confirmed, entry and exit documents.
    4. My confirmed Imperial Palace suite number.
    5. My confirmed Consort, name, photographs and security Question / answer.

    Nothing unusual, so far.

Why has anything happened to you itinerary? Has your government banned you attending?

I hope you have been taking you protection pills, you remember what happened 3 years ago.

    Gehab dich wohl!

Had to re-arrange the whole venue to ensure 1.5m distance between participants and try to get some hand sanitiser for the group . . .

I'm not expecting any work now for quite some time. Not only has the oil price crashed leading to oil companies slashing non-essential work scopes, Norway is now essentially closed, and all my work for the last 3 or 4 years has been in Norway.

The only silver lining is... a country can't stay in lock down forever and the work will have to be done eventually. There must come a point when it's accepted that containment is no longer possible and that COVID-19 is endemic amongst the global population.

If I lived somewhere nice and it wasn't the hottest, most humid part of the year, I would be quite happy at having an enforced, extended time at home with me lovely daughter. But...

I'm seriously considering getting meself down to DoHome and buying a load of paint, GRP soffit boards, etc etc so I can get some much needed house maintenance done. But I can't really say the idea fills me with joy.

My youngest dughter (13-years old) has drawn up a list of 57 chores so far that I 'must' attend to when I get back to NZ next weekend . . . oddly enough some of those chores are hers . . . hmmmm . . . this self-isolation crap has its downsides, it seems.

I'll stay for at least three months, hopefully the worst will be over by the end of that time

That's my plan for the next few weeks, a DIY list from hell.
Overdosed on it a couple of years back and haven't been able to look at a paint brush or hammer since.
