^^Your avatar, and a vague recollection of some sort of contretemps. More than the usual, anyway.

well, all said and done, the rooms that we cancelled we refilled rather rapidly, so it seems not everyone is scared of the virus.

Another 3 weeks of this work from home madness has been added. Mongolia is certainly taking it seriously. Glad the pubs are open for now, without a good social life in the evenings this somewhat isolated working lifestyle could drive one crazy.

Does anyone have any concerns/thoughts/opinions about Singapore?
I have to fly BKK, SIN, DWN in April for medical reasons and if they were to close down or restrict access to Sin it would not be fun.
I'd be coming back a week later.

Then again it might all be over by mid-April.

Seeing as Singapore has the second highest number of infections as it is simply one big city, it may just be wise to see how it is mid-April.

One of the big oil companies has just cancelled a global shindig it had planned for Korea, stating that "we can't proceed, obviously".

And the Chinese F1 is postponed probably until autumn.

According to Bloomberg, new infections soared over a couple of weeks but are now on a plateau which appears to suggest the next week should see the beginnings of a slide.

    But that's on official figures.

My old school in Naypyitaw has just cancelled their science fair, due to be held next weekend. Students are gutted, (having spent time/effort in making various projects). I've suggested they hold a virtual science fair on the website artsteps.com. School boss said 'great idea' and nothing else......

My daughter's school outing next week to some place near Korat has been cancelled.

My real worry is that offshore companies will stop using crew from 'high risk' countries. I could understand that they wouldn't want someone from Thailand on one of their boats for a month. Work could be difficult to come by if that happens.

Already some companies have cancelled all but absolutely essential travel to/from Asia Pacific.

I get it but If you Island yourself, except rations that could be had from trusted sources elsewhere you would be golden.

Funny enough they thought of this back in the thirties, yes and well before that.

It's great teaching online. No physical exposure to kids laden with nasty viruses - I only have to endure their nose-picking/eating on camera ...

LP will be devoid of the Chinks soon and other tourists, it'll be like turning the clock back to the 90s.

Really think this whole Chinese virus is getting way out of hand, the amount of deaths from this virus is minuscule.

World health Organisation estimates that between 250,000-650,000 deaths and many more 100,000s are hospitalised through flu each year.

Just Yesterday in Hong Kong some Knob of a professor estimated that up to 50 million could die, even though there isn't any scientific evidence to suggest anything at all.

Zika,Mers,Ebola,Sars where so called virus's that where going to spread and kill many.

Some stats of deaths and info

How bad is coronavirus versus the flu and Ebola?
