I'd sooner go to Iran wearing a Trump t shirt
None of those Arab states ever interested me. 50 degree dry heat and full of Mussies, alcohol restrictions, women dressed like post boxes and Teakdoor Wanker of the Decade nominees who have prostituted their working lives
^
There was always alcohol available on the expat housing compounds in SA. They called it "Sadike" or something, illegally brewed spirits.
Of course I would.
Just imagine the opportunity to rub shoulders with Cyrille
^ menage a troising a goat?
And alcohol and drugs and nagfree. Doesn't sound too bad actually.
^I be DEAD long ago if it wasn't for working in places like Saudi so my body could take a break from substance abuse. The money didn't hurt either
I want a cold Heineken from a fridge to sup in the heat, not some fermented shit out of someone's bathtub.
Fair enough. I agree it's a shit location for most holiday makers, but for some it may fit the bill.
Personally, I'm now on holiday and I'm in Japan, not in Saudi.
I never drank the Sidiqi. Our compound had some great beer brewers and wine makers. Under my stair case was always full of beer & wine.
The US marines had fairly regular booze ups at the US embassy in Jeddah. Hundreds of expats would go, just had to put your name down in advance.

I guess that explains Cyrille,
What is their tourist slogan?
"Looks Like You Should Be-Heading Our Way!"
"Come To Saudi Arabia, We're AA Friendly!"
"A Pile of Sand With Oil Underneath!"
The Dakar Rally is on there at the moment, seems the Govt is buying a few sporting events to get a bit of good press.
Seen a few women wandering around the race control area with no head covering and also a few women are competing
on bikes, don't know if a lot of western tourists went to watch the race.
The Aramco camp is like another country.
