Had my first new season asparagus with one of my sisters last week, she lives near Worcester, asparagus central in the UK. Lovely, you cannot beat new season fresh asparagus lightly boiled then dipped in salted butter and pepper.

Morrisons have joined the party and have re-started their more card, a bunch is £1.49p but you get 100 more points which is £1. Absolute bargain at 49p or $0.60

Smoked salmon with hot buttered asparagus anyone? oh with a G&T.

Friday it is. Business part of trip done, CB and Rayong. Now weekend relaxing at a resort, then BKK Monday to pick up a slab of Ribeyes and some Spicy Italian hot links and trek back to Lampang.

Bastard . . . well, lucky bastard. Asparagus season here seemed a few days at ridiculous prices. Most of it is exported.

^ That's a darn nice looking bone in Prime Rib slab Norts.

A hand rub with fresh herbs and a slow roast would do the trick.

    I'm.hungry.

Well it appears that the Grand Poobah leader of the mooban has approved our street getting repaved. Along with that they have moved the road sign which was taking up a lot of space when you entered/exited the street. Our street is pretty narrow in general and at the beginning of it, a guy has started construction on a new place and has told folks that he will construct his brick wall with a bit of an angle on it versus a straight 90 making it far easier for the few of us to enter. There are only 3 of us on this street and we are at the very end. I have navigated it for years but hoped that they would cut an angle to make it easier.

Hats off to Canada's Nick Taylor who won The Canadian Open by sinking a 72 foot putt for eagle to beat Tommy Fleetwood on the fourth hole of a playoff. The first Canadian in 69 years to win our national championship.

He's also the fourth Canadian to win on the PGA tour this year.

There was a speck of mud or sap or something right in the middle of driver's side of the windscreen this morning, which was able to become the crosshairs on a fighter jet, with the buttons on the steering wheel then becoming the triggers for various sidewinder missiles and machine guns for shooting down the cars in front. Was great fun.

Will check Lazada to see if they have full fighter pilot jet suits with helmet and visor for when I go to collect the kid from school.

I'd like to fit a military grade laser. The thing is though, the sound of rapid machine gun fire would be so much more satisfying.

    Blimey. That's some value there!

1-3pm pints, maybe download that Eatigo App Dill used to use and eat dinner for -75% from the 3:30-3:45pm eat-in-the-corridor dinner specials.

How much for pints of Bavarian Weizen, out of interest? It's not near Soi Uganda, by any chance.

Let's face it, it's not quite as good as a pound a pint.

According to Snakeeyes it's 44.43 today.

Almost done with sprinkler system install for the property. Wife, through her friend, found a reputable contractor to come and install a full sprinkler system. Fully automatic so I can set days and time and relax. Was just about to do myself but got lucky. I have been helping the guys with tricks I used back home to make it easier and a cleaner install.

Just happy as hell not to have to manual water anymore.

^ It's a strange one mate... it always sounds enjoyable to spend an hour watering the garden in the evenings... until you have no time. Then it becomes a chore. I let the gardener do the watering most days.

My cheer is that yesterday the daughter had her last exams and finished the P6 school year, and that's the end of Primary. In August she goes back as Secondary. This is a year later than when I went to school but even so, she's growing up worryingly fast.

Tomorrow morning she has 'Graduation', which I only had when getting a degree and I still missed the ceremony due to work. But anyway, it's a rare chance for a family outing.

The wife has already laid out my attire for the occasion. In some ways this bugs me but I guess it saves me having to make a decision.

And anyway, I haven't worn that shirt for a few years so not a chance I will get into it!

^ Do you really think so Shutree? It wouldn't surprise me but I don't know about these things.

My original plan was to wear my Charlie Harper bowling shirt. Maybe I should go back to that?
