Oh and a shout out to Dill, loving the WTI futures at $39.50 - that barge is looking cheaper every day Syb.

Yeah, that makes sense now that you've reworded it. Well done.

By the way, I haven't had to teach kids since 2004 (since you show such avid interest in this - especially when pissed).

    Worth a cheer from me.

Well, just hopping through a few supermarket websites...like you do.

Now the Yermans popped over well over 10 years ago now to bestow upon us Lidl and Aldi who have found a natural market in low life shopping idiots in this country. Its been years now that "Offers" get popped up and boy do they look enticing and so they are to most of the target market who shop in these German shitholes because their clientèle are singularly incapable to looking past the price to say the price per KG and therefore incapable of realising they getting a proper reaming from the Hun.

Now that alone is enough to cheer me, that and aisles of tat in the middle, but what really injects the funny factor is that these fuking muppets that shop there get all excited by the cosmopolitan weekly offers from a range of "Countries". They are all branded the same and are bulk bought locally rejected food shat.

My latest favourite nearly caused me to eject a mouthful of tea but instead whilst holding in the guffaw managed a nose blow...i mean WTF ...who would buy a load of plastic wrapped this...

    Daily or weekly cheer-reachy-doogie-jpg

Carpaccio of fooking octopus... christ on a bike. That shite is bad enough when some Med countries try palming that off as local cuisine to the worldly wise sophisticated tourist but plastic wrapped, 2 month old thinly slice rubber. Oh and cheap £3.29p...but nearly £22/KG

Its almost a spectator sport popping in to watch just exactly who in their right mind would buy such an item.. The Huns must have a competition to try to outdo each other in sourcing and putting out the weirdest or most disgusting foreign delicacies for their now less than fledgling Brit market.....

On Saturday night I dropped my Macbook Pro, it landed on a corner on concrete with a sickening thud and I was well pissed off. Too pissed off to even post a 'Daily Moan' using my phone as the Macbook was dead.

On Sunday the Apple Icare place told me the board was fukked and it was too old for a replacement. I bought the Macbook in 2009.

I need a laptop, especially on the offchance that I ever get work again, so I straight away picked up this 14" Acer for 23,000 Baht. Windows 10, all that good stuff.

I can't believe how easy it's been to set up. All my documents were on One Drive, I sign in and have access to everything.

I connected the USB lead from my scanner, the laptop told me what App I needed, and I was scanning and saving the laptop receipt (to put it through my company) within 5 minutes.

I can't believe how long I've put up with that aging, clunky Macbook which I knew had needed replacing for a long time. No more struggling to mount hard drives, battling to connect my Android phone, etc etc.

Dropping that Mac was the best thing I've done for ages!

My sister will be pleased, now if i could just get some ditch diggers to expand the cut to Eckington i could rock up to her door, or wait til the river floods like it does every year.

Sounds like a good crack that.

A few beers on Broad Street then straight onto the canal.

Until the Zulus get wind of it

The Barge had a bar too.

Unfortunately he had to knock it on the head as the canal was too silted up.

People were getting to the game about an hour late and not caring until the following day.

90-day report time. I had filed online and it was pending for 12 days, so I girded my loins and set off for a personal visit. This was my first visit to the new Nongbualamphu Immigration building. The place was empty of customers. An officer came out of the back and I told him my online report was stuck in the pending tray. He claimed the whole online system was down, but no problem. He took my passport, pressed a few keys and my completed application form popped out of the printer. I just signed and it was neatly folded into my passport. I reckon it took about 90 seconds from in to out.
It's always cheering when Thai bureaucracy works so smoothly.

Well, its been even more quiet in the village than it usually is since this cold has been doing the rounds but in the last few days its clear what has been missing. There are quite a few kids in the village which is unusual, normally families get priced out of these places and they slowly turn into middle/old aged ghettos - not here though.

I the past few days its clear that the kids have started to be allowed to visit their friends again and now outside you can hear kids shrieking and laughing - there is no sound that defines life as kids laughing, its great to hear.

Re Daniel Cheng (14:31) David Luiz getting injured is a bad thing considering our other injury worries.

Well despite these dark times Mrs Toot, her Nong and a little dynamo we took on. The littlelun came from a sad tale and although she has issues due to what her mother did in pregnancy she hasn't got the bleak future predicted by the doctors when she landed with us - she didn't form proper words for nearly 3 years but she's in school now and you can't shut her up, i've tried. She loves some 90's bouncy and Salsa music and having a bop. She's got a garden we all made and its her pride and joy - amazingly she's pretty much vegetarian she just doesn't like meat.... life goes on.

    EDIT

    ^ Heartwarming.

My daily cheer is not up to that standard. I went outside this morning and the gf pointed out that a truck tyre was far from round. Distinctly soft. So I made my way slowly to a little tyre shop not too far away and an able chap had the tyre off, offending metal screw removed, hole plugged and everything back together again in the matter of a few minutes, all for the princely sum of 100 Baht. Good job.

Now I might visit the daily moan thread and have a rant about people who leave screws in the road.

A whole new world of friends and learning how to make them... it goes quick. And a whole world in which to tell them about Daddies Leo and Pug habits when he's bored.

Syb, you are the one hopping from thread to thread in your inimitable picky style, it was just a throw away line which you seem to latch on to. It wasn't an attack on Armstrong. I get that you are frustrated that your 12 week sesh on the deck has been thrown into disarray but you could still post up your moussaka - just don't take it out on me.
