I'm cheering as I'm celebrating my bday three nights in a row with friends and family!
Dinner/drinks tonight with friends (expect some drunkenness shots) and dinner/drinks/cards tomorrow night with family.

Nice surprise. Nationwide building society, who i have been with for 40+ years have decided this year to award all qualifying members £100, and will do so annually from now on. Not much but its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. They are a mutual society and haven't said what they are dong with the other £2.5Bn profits
I've got an old account with them, but they fucked up and I ended up 75 quid overdrawn, which I refused to pay.
However, they still send me emails about my statements etc so do you reckon I'm in line for a bit of a boon too?
It could pay for a year's supply of food in Chitty's Tesco bargain bin.
^ you need a qualifying current account and a savings account with them, so no.
The last time I went through the process of opening an account back home it wouldn't be worth a 10 grand payout, never mind a hundred quid.
They needed my grandparents' exhumed, brought to the bank and DNA tested in the presence of the manager, to pass the ID requirements, iirc.
^ I got an email, also a notice when i logged on. Its not just the qualifying accounts, you have to have made some transactions. The conditions are on their website
^ they are planning to pay annually so if you want it next year you have time to meet the criteria.
