Wifeys been off work all week with a fever . On Friday she mentioned the cause... Eating -food poisoning from eating old pork.
She has this terrible habit of taking meat out of its packaging and putting it in tupperware to fit more into the fridge.
I found a 2 month old shepherds pies she made me in there last week.

Anyhow, she's recovered now, so no more hanging out washing and the amount of weight she's lost, she's now only 2kgs heavier at 46kg than the day I met her...and she's stopped fukkin moaning at last

From what I viewed it wasn't much to brag about.

A brief 4 inch implant once a month

    Elephant pants.

Inexplicably, they are back in fashion here. Lots of teenage girls sporting brand new elephant pants. How the wheel turns.

Just got my Dewalt 20V XR 7 1/4 cordless circular saw yesterday. Man is it nice and no more laying out an extension cord. I also ordered the Dewalt 12" XR 20V chainsaw. A few days ago I spent 15 minutes getting all the gas and oil set up and then spent 10 minutes trying to start it then the plastic primer bumble got a crack and I had to drive to town to get one. Done with gas stuff except my lawn mower.

Do you buy your Dewalt gear here in Thailand? If yes where do you get it from Global House, Lazada or somewhere else?
Why Dewalt? Is it more expensive than other brands?
I am sick of buying the cheaper crap and then getting burnt by having to replace them.

Hope you notice that there are no snide comments made about you in this post as I have been told I should stop picking on you. Fark that it doesn't feel right!

I have bought a few tools in US and a few here. I found the US sold tools are made in Mexico and the Thailand ones are made in China. I have not found any difference in performance or reliability. I have always used and liked Dewalt power tools(Electric) and never had an issue and still have them. The Cordless products are extremely well made. You can order off Lazada.

They are money well spent. Buying cheap sadly ends up breaking and then you are buying another or it underperforms and that sucks. IMHO find a quality brand you like and stick with them because the battery technology is all transferable across all the same brand tools. Makes it easy and no problems.

It doesn't feel right. I like your humor and picking on me. I do laugh a lot and take absolutely no offense to it.

If you are going to by cordless, make sure to buy "Brushless". The motors are far more efficient, quiet and the batteries last longer between charges.

I was at Lotuth food court at lunchtime. Not very cheery so far. A man and his daughter stopped beside me at a drinks counter. She was about 9 or 10 and whilst waiting for her drink whizzed off a Rubik's cube, from scrambled to solved in less than 30 seconds, whilst still talking to her father. Quite impressive, cheered me up somehow, to see someone young do something well.

Say hi next time, Mister Snobby.

    The kid's current obsession.

Started using apps, then video tutorials, now can solve them faster than me, as I have to peel the stickers off mine.

Fishfingers. Since attaining culinary liberation from both grill and oven with me LuluFryrer i have rediscovered the delights of minced unidentifiable Omega 3 filled crisp coated fish logs, 8 at a time with 4 reserved for a fishfinger sarnie.

Back in Thailand for a 5 week break. It's a bit of a pain having to wait 6 hours for connecting flight but good to be back in the warm.

I admire Thais' entrepreneureal spirit. I have posted before about the way noodle shops, coffee shops and other small businesses open then close after a few weeks. There seems to be no such thing as a business plan, just try an idea and write it off when it doesn't work.
Some young people built a very small coffee shop in the village. I went in once and asked for an espresso. To be fair, I did eventually get something hot, wet and blackish but they were mostly clueless. Probably their target audience was the younger generation who hanker after large cups of coloured ice. I think it lasted a month. Then the place was unused until recently someone built a sort of bamboo shack on the forecourt and some new lighting suggested it was open. Open as what was a mystery, there are no signs outside. So last night on my way home, I stopped for a look.
    O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
    He chortled in his joy.

It's a cocktail bar! I had a margarita, it was not bad.
Turns out it is a partnership between a near neighbour and a chap who has been tending bars in Koh Phangan for the last 20 years. It has no signage because there is a high tax rate on signs in English, so she said.
I'll do my best to keep them open. There might even be another customer, who knows? I hope they stay open at least until the dry season is over.
