The downsizing, sell off really went better than I thought, savings rates are on the up and the pension schemes, luckily the old defined benefit ones are locked in - is there a need to work for two more years i ask myself or should i retire 5 years earlier than Symp.
The cheer is, what a great choice to have - i think time is something you cant buy.
One of the kids over today. The mortgage rates 2 to 5 years have gone stratospheric. About a year ago i downsized with no debt, all paid off but chose to gift it all to the winks, luckily had enough to pay off 2 mortgages and nearly a third. Given what's happened thank fook me kids are insulated from the mortgage rises now.
Also there is less incentive for them to off me, the lad was searching for photos earlier, fuk Ant
Just out of interest, when you buy a leasehold flat in the UK then subsequently join the property management company for the block, how much do you pay for the share?

Edit: apparently not much, just a nominal amount. £1 for example.
