Ellie my youngest asked if i'd help her out to fit out two bedrooms with IKEA flat pack PAX wardrobes, 8 meters wirth and 2 corner units which can be tricky, job done and a good catch up with the nongs, food, drink, music and chats. Looks good and i think they are a bargain. The only issue is her georgian skirting boards which meant i had to scribe the backs of the unit boards to cut and fit them.

Nice one Nammers!
That IKEA stuff is damn practical and innovative at sensible prices.
Summer in Europe.
Yes.
Yes.
And yes again.
3 cheers. :-)
You know when you get up in the morning and life and everything is just perfectly fantastic.
Today was one of those days.
Beautiful weather, beautiful coffee, beautiful nature, beautiful birdsong on the verandah, beautiful teeny and an all round beautiful day.
Contract signed by an eager client on a nice bit o' business.
That's 2 cheers.
So will make the 3rd cheer for the fantastic moderation team here on teakdoor.com, who have lately seen the place obsessively bombarded by posters with histories of multiniking and jailings, throwing their anger, hate and stinky poop all over the place. So the 3rd cheers goes out to their superb handling of such untasteful nonsense via sub-forum limiting and other justified sanctions.
Great life.
Great business.
Great teakdoor moderation.
Hip Hip!!
The phrase " a pig in shit" springs to mind.
Just had this for lunch, and was going to post it in the Lunch thread.
But then, as I sat there in me hanging egg chair, gently swinging on me verandah, with nothing but greenery (and an old well abandoned wooden house I've yet to decide what to do with) and surprisingly loud birdsong carrying along the breeze from half a dozen different species around me, it struck me.
There was nowhere else in the world I rather be, nothing else in the world I rather be doing, and nothing else in the world I rather be eating or drinking.
Just a perfect moment of relaxation and contentment.
Three cheers to life.![]()
Preditor on Film 4 @ 9pm, you just have to, it'll make you a sexual Goddamn God
I must say, I absolutely love living in Thailand. [KevKeeg] Luv it. [/KevKeeg]
Hadn't gone to tax or insure me 650 in about 3 years because I'm a lazy fok-the-world muthatrucker.
After 3 years you need to restart and go through the whole registration process again, so I went off to get it done at the nearest blue n yellow cog shop.
Expecting around 4-5k baht.
After buying it I had Tyga strip it and fit it with their inhouse carbon fiber, still perfect 10+ years later, new fuel controller, air system and imported LeoVince exhaust no baffle, then dyno'd and tuned. Aftermarket front light, rear tidy tail and blinkers.
These are a bit iffy when they're doing their inspections so I bring the originals along to promise to change them back if needed.
The woman laughed and said no problem.
A 5 minute test done in front of me.
Done.
4-5k?
100thb a year in tax, 3 years... plus the fine for being a lazy lulu.... 42 baht.
60 baht to test.
39 baht service fee.
1,092b pick up the new docs on Thursday.
5 minutes from pulling in to pulling out. Ooer missus.
On top of that, there was a massage place next door. Mossied on in to say hello.
A very bountiful Buriramese Beauty said it's very nice while holding me hand and staring deep into me heart.
Back home for a light breakfast, light gym sesh and shower before off to being kneaded and oiled to high heaven for 2 hours.
Untaxed and uninsured for 3 years modified motorbike tested and taxed in 5 minutes + 2 hours of oiled kneading by a buxxum Buriramese Beauty for 2 hours.
1,592b not including extra undercarriage kneading tip. Is that like 50 dollars 40 quid.
What a great country.![]()
It’s pretty great here. Don’t let the secret out too much or they will just keep coming!
A new beauty salon was recommended to me so I went yesterday for a haircut. The woman did a treatment then one of the lovliest haircuts I’ve ever had. She took her time and did her best. I was holding by breath when ready to pay since I hadn’t bothered to ask beforehand. 250 baht. 250 baht! Couldn’t believe it.
OK, maybe in the afternoon around 3 or 4 when I am pissed up.![]()
*checking me allowance and making a booking*![]()
Hello to you too Mister Pedantic.
To be technically correct Tyga did all me carbon fiber, and I believe it was sent to either K-Speed or X-Speed to be modified, dyno'd and tuned with the products I had imported.
I'm disleksick so excuse me if the K or X is wrong. Though perhaps it was Siam Moto? My ol' noggin ain't what it used to be. Perhaps I should have put a full stop after 'later' as not to confuse Vicky?
Nearly 15 yrs and 100,000km later and still as good as day one.
No discolouration, no warping. Daily cheers for Matt The Master, and also Mrs Buxom Buriramese that I am now head over lulu in love with.![]()
