This, seemingly, waived immigration/visa policy as applying to Western women [in comparison to their Farang male counterparts] marrying up with Thai guys almost appears to be a scheme of contradictory - as seen through officialdom eyes. Perhaps a deeper extension of matriarchal respect is at work in these scenarios. Or not.

One needs to wonder if these modified policies solely apply to Farang ladies.
There are numerous examples to reference in comparison as to how they're looked upon or treated by the authorities.

I've known a couple of western women who married Thai men. Both couples were pretty much bilingual, though the husbands' English was better than the wifes' Thai. Both men also had graduate degrees from Western Universities.

I think that one couple is divorced now, but the other is still together.

Yes, western women married to Thai men just show up once a year, wave their marriage certificates at immigration and get stamped in for another year. No money in the bank or income needed.

I think sadly a lot of women get sucked into these beach boys from what I have read. Thai boys are known to be players from what I've heard my many times being in Thailand.

Are you serious? What about western men with Thai women. Thai women are pretty needy and babyish as well. What does that say about the western men then that go with them then. lol.

So all this means, is that you have to present yourself at Immigration in a frock and all is ok.

This means that even snubby can stay in Thailand without showing income.
