I just love the early Jamaican bands.
The Gaylads is an unfortunate name - it meant something different back then
Who does't like a bit of Joy in the Morning!
Legend has it, Delroy nailed this recording on the first take.
Great track - and guys! - women love this music!!! - put it on when you are entertaining and you can't lose
Poor sound quality, but a great track and piece of history...
More history ....... Yoko is on some good acid
It don't get much better than Eddie..... wrote his own songs, would have been as big as Elvis if he didn't die in a car crash at 21..
Keith loves him too...
And so did Sid, ...of course..
Fuck this joint is quiet these days ...... FUN FUN!
Joey always loved the classic rock'n'roll hits. He once said his biggest influence was the Beach Boys..
Getting back to the Jamaican stuff..
Police and thieves...
I just love The Heptones.
I made this video for a laugh using simple Mac movie editing software. I was playing it in my car, and just could not stop thinking of Trump when it was on --- the rake in his his hand is because of his comment about 'raking the forests' after forest fires in the US..... (also, notice the small hands which I shrunk ) ...it's a great song, anyway..

music for the elderly - thier best one
^ Beck is cool. I owned one of his records which I really liked, but scratched it up on an opium binge back in the 90's. Glory days ...... (thanks for the input!)
How can you not love Carlton and the Shoes..
OK, last of the old Jamaican stuff for a while. The reason I love (and are fascinated ) with these artists is because they were poor. Living in the ghettos. They recorded in shitholes with low quality equipment - but their passion comes through, and if you really listen, you can feel their talent. They never made any money. Nobody knows much about them - but they had massive amounts of talent ................ many of the songs from Jamaica were later recorded by white artists and made famous.
It was just so sweet and dandy..
