Do You Have a VR Headset???

[NOTE: members of the Pattaya Flying Club, even prospective members..., should not read this thread. Neither should suicidal or stupid people!!!]

...is life all too much sometimes? (Dilly?)

    Well, there's a humane solution!!!

Go up to your 35th floor apartment balcony, put on your headset. and play this game:

(If you are sensible, have an adult to help you, do have a VR headset and wanna check it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...Room.TheWalkVR)

I have a $9.99 VR headset, and it worked ok with my phone... Not fantastic. The dog thought I was insane...
    Cycling should be banned!!!

I had oculus VR for my S7. Pretty cool doing virtual tours of all kinds of shit. Nice to lay on my bed and look up to watch any YouTube video. There was this one virtual tour with some gymnastics chic. I could almost smell her it seemed. I can see the porno potential in it

    Edit.
Haha I get the paytaya joke now. But yeah. Its good fun.

Kids have been on about getting one for the PlayStation since forever but haven't got around to it.

Curious to try one and see what all the fuss is about though.

I was given one when I bought my Galaxy S7 a few years ago.

I guess its a bit like 3D TV, interesting at first, but the novelty wears off.

The kids like riding the impossible roller coasters..

I only ever downloaded free stuff, so the paid content might be even better.

But the phone sure overheats quickly.

Imagine it's a bit like the 3D TVs a few years ago.

Really cool technology that everyone wants to try, then after 2 or 3 times using it, doesn't bother using it again.

I had a go of the game Superhot. It was pretty cool. The headset was wired but fed through a pulley on the roof so they didn’t get in the way.

Drunken bar Fight(?) sounded fun but they guy said Superhot was better.

£5 for 15 mins. Might get one for the bar.

sad news for batty - apple says its VR gear will be delayed

that Apple is now planning to launch a combined VR/AR headset in 2022, following up with a lightweight pair of AR glasses in 2023.

Apple's perpetually three-or-more-years-away headset plans have "a focus on gaming, watching video and virtual meetings,"

Been using the DJI Goggles for FPV (first person view) on a DJI drone. Amazing immersive experience, you feel like you are IN the drone during flight. Equates to viewing a 216" screen from 3mt, feels like you are in a cinema.
Also connects to Xbox and any HDMI input.

Birthday coming up, vr is on the list, and a mate is coming over end November.

Do vr headsets work with all phones (i+android), or only the more recent ones? I enquired about a year ago and they said only the later androids do the biz.

Oculus claims over 1000 games at their store. Do you have to pay for them, or is there some way to get them free like pc software?

Do you have to buy extras, or is everything in the box?

Any recs for one or a specific package that'll keep him bumping into things for a couple years?

I guess Amazon UK would be cheaper than Lazada?

    tia

    PS: looking at £100-200
