Wow you really do go way back in being behind the times, don't you.

Anything against the abolition of slavery?

Fond of snuff, by any chance?

It's unbecoming when Boomers act like spoiled children.

Whilst playing dumb clearly comes naturally to you as a tactic in being spurious and attempting deflection it's pretty weak.

    Try again.

    You havent answered my question.
You whinge that your elders have forced your generation to live in a mess of our making, yet cannot describe this mess, a mess that i cannot see. What exactly are you missing that you would have had if your elders had behaved differently.

OK Boomer, that’s half the issue.

If you really need it spelled out for you the ignorance is bliss I suppose. Otherwise continue to keep your entitled head buried up your entitled arse and/or continue to demand I answer your spurious ‘questions’.

Just be grateful you are not one of our Victims. I'm sure a kid in Gaza with hopes and aspirations must really give a damn about Greta's stolen childhood. She doesn't even have wi-fi.

Yeah cos it’s either a kid in Gaza or nothing, no in between, and screw anyone who wants better than the status quo.

Anyways the only victims are logic and random passing clouds being yelled at by triggered old white men.

Are you suggesting we give up cars, planes, and boats and allow the chinese to plunder the earth using slave afro labour to dig up rare minerals to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles, the production of which throws more carbon into the atmosphere than fossil fuelled transport.

If you want to improve air quality, dont blame my generation, blame the asian manufactures, legislators and peasants who drive their poorly maintained smoke belchers or all those big fuck off suvs that clog up asian cities, i wont even mention the pointy headed hypocrites who think driving 50 year old muscle cars helps the cause.

Ban palm oil and plastic, but leave our transport systems alone.

But you just did, hypocrite. Just more of that stupid logical fallacy that you need to disconnect yourself from all modern technology and conveniences and go and live in a cave to have an opinion. Dumb. It doesn't require a small group of people to do everything perfectly but a large group to do things imperfectly.

Meanwhile selfish, entitled and self-absorbed old gits like you try to wash your hands of any responsibility. Frankly the sooner your lot become carbon neutral by shuffling off your mortal coils the better for all.

This is the type of attitude I'm pleased to have increasingly seen on the internet this year. Long may it continue into the new decade.

The 20th century was the century of burning things to improve the standard of living. It involved such ugly planet-killing consumerism as designing and mass producing pointlessly large cars, and the widespread use of jumbo jets to take the ticket buyer and his family on regular long-haul flights.

There are many out there who use the tired excuse that there is no point in them making individual improvements to their carbon footprint when others aren't doing so. I feel comforted that you don't fall into that narrow-minded camp of convenient selfish denial, and I'm sure you're doing all you can to improve things despite the way the boomers changed the world for the worse in the previous century.

So difficult getting the balance right with this thing.

I guess I'll have to rethink my 'GretaIsGreat' multi.

It shouldn't be difficult cyrille. We need more people to make a stand, like antrobertson above. Like him we all need to reject the 20th century ways of the boomers.

Following the consumerism, pretense and fossil fuel hunger lead of the boomers is easy and selfish. Instead, say no to long haul flights and take staycations with the family. Say no to private vehicle ownership. It's public transport all the way, or at the very worst electric vehicle ownership only. No school runs, no long commutes. Live where you work and study.

I'm told that often on the internet. Actually my home is solar power only and that doesn't hurt anyone.

To be insulted for caring about the future welfare of the planet is tiresome. The insults usually come from the elderly who have done decades of personal damage and don't want to be reminded about it. I'm not as course as some but I agree with this sentiment.

Real problem is population growth and you can't just blame one generation for that..but of course you can.

...and we forget - it's the generational quality, less the quantity.

Hence the term - GENERATIONS HAVEN'T A CLUE.

Do you stupid fucks really think that in a world that will increase its population by dozens of billions over the next decade or so, all requiring food, comfort and energy that you will be able to achieve this mythical thing called carbon neutrality. Of course you wont. Even if you stopped driving, flying, turned off your aircon, went wind turbine powered vegan and palm oil free, it would not make one iota of difference to the temperature increases now being experienced for the hundredth time since this planet was created. It will get warmer, sea levels will rise, crops will fail and millions will die. It is called nature, and there is nothing man can do to prevent nature having her way. We may become extinct. So what. The planet is billions of years old, we have only been here for a million or so. Species come and go. So stop blaming the people who nurtured the industrial revolution and the generations that followed, stop thinking of yourselves as so important and invincible in the face of those all powerful, unforgiving and emotionless forces that have shaped the earth for millions of years and will continue to do so for many more millions, but possibly with a lot fewer humans on it.

Whats happening today has very little to do with the hand of man, however much you entitled fucking snowflakes think it does, and we all know that nothing is ever the fault of you lot, you always have to pin the blame somewhere else, anywhere else in order to justify your pathetic victimhood status, whats happening today is an unstoppable climate variation, just like the ice ages and all the previous global warmings and there is fuck all you can do about it.

It will certainly make your lives harder in 30 or 40 years time, so instead of kissing gretas arse, taking part in your stupid demos and blaming your wiser elders, its time you prepared yourselves for the heat, the floods, the diseases and the wars brought about by the shortages of everything and the huge population increases.

If nature can teach you lily livered wimps anything, its that survival of the fittest is the creed you should be following, not crying and blaming like that greta twat.

So man up you big girls blouses and face the future.

...so much carbon emitted from that one old-man-yelling-at-someone-to-get-off-his-lawn rant.
