You can see why his father wants to leave his son shafted.

Oh, except for the Bitcoin of course.

My dad is a greedy rich boomer cvnt cocksucker like the rest of them and i wont accept any of his money. Im making my own money. And its not like Boomer days where all you had to do was show up

Any mouth breathing knuckle dragging slack jawed loser could get a job, save his money and buy assets in the late 80's, 90's and get rich. Stocks, bonds, real estate, anything. Just get in , at the bottom of the biggest ponzi of human kind and thats it ! You are done.

( 1974 was the first time in human history where no money in the world was backed by gold)

That's a term used to describe broken females. Its completely irrelevant here.

My dad is just a typical stiff stubborn arrogant Dutchman. Cheap cvnt. So he bought a lot of assets at the right time and his life has been one big positive feedback loop. Every year, borrowing got cheaper and his assets went up in price. Now he's a Boomer oligarch cvnt who thinks that he's some financial genius.

Having worked in Holland for four years I've met many of those, so I do understand what you're saying, the but to classify all 'Boomers' in the same vein isn't remotely relevant.

You can only play the cards you are dealt, i don't understand all the world done me wrong bile.

I have three sisters who worked less than 25 years and all retired early on probably double the pension i'll likely get as they hit the final salary sweet spot; good luck to them and i'm happy for them but i don't feel hard done by.

Backspin surely all this anger towards those that you perceive have had an easier ride in life ain't healthy.

(3 sisters explains your passivity. I have 3 brothers)

How many times does it need to be explained to you ? That's totally not the point of OK Boomer.

The point of OK Boomer is to explain to the Boomers, with real economic and social data, that for the 1st time in the modern era and possibly since before the Victorian era, that a preceding generation has it better than their kids. And their parents. So Boomers bashing of the next generation, is hypocritical nonsense.

And its funny because we can tell that they know it. They know it now anyway. They aren't even denying it anymore.

If i was a Boomer, I'd be saying "hey. I dipped my bucket in the river of easy money just like you would have. And yes you are pretty fuct. And if i were you, I'd try and overthrow the govt too. But in the meantime, do what you can"

My old man said"son if you want to eat you have to work."Sadly even back then there where too many hungry punters and not enough jobs. I learned the hard way. Yes, pops set me up with an apartment on 76th and Mill. And then abruptly bailed on me.
I found myself unwinding copper off discarded armatures by summer and following the salt trucks with a spud bar busting out sewer covers as we slowly moved down the frozen roads.

From bum to boomer I blame Noone. Seems we are in the eara of the blame game. Pokememan ect. Pushing buttons, expecting results.

Does bum have a "b" at the end? If so yea, I was a bumb. A hard lesson for a kid. I came to terms with what my pops did and at our last meet up explained where I've been since.

His eyes grew wide as seemed to listen with great intent as told him of our last endeavor. This the man that asked "What do you think about solar power" back in the 70's. Now afflicted with Parkinson's disease as well as Alzheimer's.

Boomer, snowflake, X head, get on with it baby. Like my favorite Led Zeppelin tune, and it's only fitting ( Nobody's fault but mine!)

And again. Again again again. More completely irrelevant pep talks and nonsense.

The point of the thread and OK Boomer, is not that anything is anyones fault.

The POINT IS, that Boomers are the first generation of the modern era , since basically Edwardian era , that a succeeding generation is materially worse off than the previous one.

So Boomers and their bashing of millennials is actually invalid and nonsense.

A millennial therapist says this is the No. 1 gift for young people—and it’s not money

Having been a millennial therapist for the past six years, I often hear people complain about how difficult it is to shop for a generation that seems to want — but already has — everything.

So for the past couple of months, I’ve been asking my 20- and 30-something-year-old patients about what’s on their wish list this year. I’ve gotten a variety of responses — money, an Apple Watch, AirPods, gift cards, essential oils, a plane ticket to Bali.

But there’s one surprising item that kept coming up: a planner.

Why it’s the perfect millennial gift

    I know, I know. A planner? Really?! Isn’t that so ... cliche?

But hear me out: After countless conversations with millennials, I’ve found that what young people struggle with the most is having to choose from too many options: “I have too many choices.
    Which should I choose?
    Too many things to do.
    What should I prioritize?
I’m worried I’ll make all the wrong decisions.”

Yes, decision fatigue is a real thing, especially in a world that overloads us with information and puts an immense pressure on us to succeed.
Trying to do the right thing or attempting to do everything all at once can be stressful, overwhelming and often lead to burnout.

This is where the planner comes in, and I’m not talking about the type that only allows you to jot down birthday reminders and every single task you think you need to complete.
A planner is most effective when it’s used to create order, direction and clarity about your goals and what you really want to accomplish.

For millennials, it’s the perfect tool to help untangle the complex mess of modern life.

    ^Interesting.. but makes sense.

I feel so sorry for the Millenials in that many of them are spoiled to the point of being entitled, lazy and unmotivated. I work with kids and many have lost social skills because all they do is communicate on their phones. I know many teenagers that aren't even motivated to finish school, or are depressed about what people say or don't say about them on fb. It is quite sad and scary as to who will end up being the leaders of the future!!

    l

This lady is just trolling for Boomer clicks. It's good business to appeal to the biggest demographic and to appeal to their emotions. Good thing for her, the truth doesn't actually matter. The real data doesn't actually matter when you are trolling for Boomer clicks

She says that millennials already have everything and money isn't a problem. (lol)

Well then.. That's a strange thing to say when more millennials are living in poverty than any generation, in their peak earning years ! How's this possible ? It's possible when your median wages have gone up 0.00% while every other generation before, was up multiple percentiles.

First time on 136 years that a new generation is worse off than the previous.

But that's fine. It's customary for the previous generation to say this. The emotional boomers are going to say this regardless what the data is.

The red headed hipster isn't stupid. She is just trolling for Boomer clicks. And she's getting them. She gets paid more, the more shares she gets.
