Dilly is just being negative.
I think it's great that I can meet lots of genuine Thai people when doing the rounds in Bangkok.
For example, I get to talk to 7 taxi drivers in space of 9 minutes because 6 of them refuse to take me the 3km I want to go because of traffic/rain/don't want to turn the meter on/have to take the taxi back or just can't be bothered.
Met loads of police that want to stop, talk and search me around the Asoke section. They are great. they even check to make sure I have enough money and cigarettes by opening and searching said items. They even ask you to relieve yourself in a plastic bottle by the side of the road if needs be.
How can I not forget the gang of ladyboys that hang about under the footbridges. They are so helpful. One or 2 will give you a free squeeze, whilst another makes sure that you still have everything in your pockets.
