Contrary to the popular belief that coffee drinkers are the worst people on earth, I put to you that those who drink coffee —specifically black coffee—are a superior breed of human beings on this planet. Why black? Because when you’re starting out it could be bitter as hell (especially if you’re used to the taste of diabetes-inducing sugar water). But people who force themselves to do something that is temporarily bitter but will make them awesome? That’s called self-discipline (similar to cold showers)

The best part is – once you’re accustomed to having your coffee black, you gradually appreciate and fall in love with the taste of true coffee, the real deal.

I can vouch for this. Drinking black coffee at the start, is like chewing on a piece of firewood. But once you force yourself into it, you cant have it any other way. Sugary coffee feels perverse and contaminated after awhile.

Plus its a good way to cut our sugar. I used to go through buckets of sugar.

Most of my life I drank coffee white and sweet (very sweet). After the heart attack needed to cut both sugar and dairy - so black it was. Took about - dunno - a week maybe - to get used to it. Now any other way than black is just foul.

Don't knock poofs, or pooves. Few weeks ago I got hooted at a bar for ordering tea. Tbf it wasn't the order but my protest when waitress said they don't have any so boss turned up to confirm it's a beer bar and nobody's ever asked for tea. Still not buying the whole Black coffee is good for ya stuff. Drink whatever ya want. I personally cannot stand black coffee. It etches your teeth, gives some people terrible body odor, terrible breath. Seems like a lot of black coffee drinkers also smoke which is a deadly combination for breath that can kill small animals.

All I can say about black coffee drinkers is what I see and have always noticed. They usually grab a black coffee, then excuse themselves for a smoke. Now I am not saying all. I am saying what I see and have witnessed. But then again I do not pay attention much anymore as I do not drink coffee nor hang around people who smoke anymore.

I visit various friends who get so wound up after they have a coffee, I can hardly get in a word edgeways.
