As mentioned in another thread, I had to renew my Aussie passport because it was full and I need a new one for my travels . . .
RM1200 and three weeks . . . really? Roughly 8600 baht . . .
Anyway, my last passport application was sent to Canberra and they rejected the photo, so it too another two weeks . . . sigh.
This time I came armed with two sets of photos. Luckily the passports are now kept in Kuala Lumpur so - they rejected both sets - took a photo themselves.
Now, that is good. And it was foc.
Not only that, but the lady and man (both Malaysian Indians) were extremely helpful, friendly and very pleasant.
We whine a lot about how our embassies or High Comms work but, as a dip kid who spent a lot of my youth in the buildings after school, there is much more to it than cocktail parties and duty-free cars.
So . . . Kudos to the Consular section of the High Comm
