Moved all over the UK as a kid, but mostly Sheringham, now in Ulaanbaatar. Lived in Thailand for 8 years, will probably look and moving back in a couple of years as it is "home" to me. Rangsit forever!

Phew . . . all caught up now, I think. Looking better and better, how to populate a map
Sanford, Florida > Bangkok
Six kilometers east of Pua in northern Nan province.
Over the last 12 years...after living in Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Dallas (briefly), Dubai, Brisbane, Phoenix, then travelling for 6 months, pleased to be living somewhere clean, green, wet and not too hot (excluding Feb-May of course).

That map you're making is going to be a real mess soon, PH, with all those avatars connected to places on the map. Thailand will soon look like a spiderweb and the underlying map wil be hidden. As suggested before, use Google maps.
Every member can put his/her location(-s) on the map themselves, add their username in the list on the left, choose a color and an icon if they want, then bookmark the map and keep it on their computer/tablet/mobile phone. Easy peasy.
I started here: *Link removed*
Members can be very precise marking their location or choose to set a marker somewhere close to where they are, or in case they like it to be a bit more vague, just mark the centre of the nearest town. In case you want to show more than one location, give them different names like "PH Malaysia" and "PH New Zealand"
Feel free to change the preferences and/or change the name of the map, na khrub...
How to add you data:
Select "Add Marker" in the little menu bar top left,
Click on the map where you want the marker,
A panel will pop up, add your username,
Optional: If you want to change style, color of your marker, select the first button in the pop up panel, called "Style"
You could also add your avatar or a photo by selecting the "camera" button.
Then say "Save" and there you are, on the map and on the list.
Repeat if you want more than one location.

Luang Prabang in northern Laos. I'm trying not to move around anymore. Over the past 20 years I've lived in the UK, Belgium, France, Andorra, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
Edit: I'll add my location to Gipsy's Google Map after he gives me permission to edit it...
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
^ It's not 'my' map, it's Google's... feel free to add, change and whatever.
That's a good point . . . and we can still do a cnp for the thread . . . problem is having posers do it as opposed to having it done for them . . . and the avatars :-( The avatars . . . but I shall bow to progress
Same, access requests . . . with our google accounts, which means real names etc... Had a lot of hassles with a few cretins here about that a few years ago
A few cretins.
Imagine that.
Sorry, didn't realise I really have to give access to other people. Thought that the map was accessible to everyone. Yes, names and email adresses might be a problem for people. Let me have a look how to fix this and get back to you.
Bremerton, Washington ... about an hour ferry ride across the Puget Sound from bsnub.
27-33 months away from returning to Pattaya.
Think I might spend the first year living right on Soi Bukhao.
Live like a tourist for a solid fooking year!
Hell yeah!
Okay, version 2.0

Can somebody add his/her name, location and possible an avatar or other picture so I can check what information can be seen. I don't think real names or email adresses (except mine as the 'owner' of this map) are needed or can be seen but to make sure I need another entry.
Zenkjooverybig!
PS: In case it does show sensitive information, I will delete this map again and try harder.
Nooo . . . the whole point is to create a graphic where we can all see one another's location . . . just for the fun of it, hence the inclusion of avatars.
Otherwise we could have just all had one-line posts of where we are. I guess this kind of thing appeals most to spatial-oriented people
