I've passed at least three breathalysers in my time, wouldn't risk it again though.

No idea if the sucking a coin works as when I got nicked in London in 1997 stuck a 2p in my mouth and the copper slapped me on the back of the head resulting in said 2p flying out my mouth. Was lucky not to do any bird for that as more than twice over the limit when i finally agreed to give a sample some 5 hours after getting nicked. Had a good lawyer and they dropped the refusing to give a sample and got away with a 18 month ban and £350 fine and that was when chucking out jail sentences left, right and centre. Surprised doesn't come up on the intergoogles as my arrest and circumstances of it was a lot more interesting than non event with the lawyer. Anyway learnt my lesson over 20 years ago and dont even have a shandy if driving these days.

Back then drink driving was the norm.

Police were the worst offenders...

years ago worked in Winchester barracks and we used to go to south wanston and the wanston arms pub- great little boozer but always stayed on too long but the local beat Bobby frequently either joined us on the piss and either drove us home or got one of us to take him home in our car - either case we were well well over the limit
