Champion! One contributor joked that police should look in Edinburgh, which hosts the fringe festival, while another said officers were "combing the area".
The lunatic fringe festival!
Taking the piss is a crime now?
Out of a criminal no less.
FFS.
move to France, that's what the smart Brits are doing after Brexit
oh wait, you are not smart and you support Brexit
How about this one:
University chief bans all beef from campus in fight against 'climate change emergency'
They were once regarded as staples of the students’ canteen. But now burgers, lasagne, chilli and tacos have been taken off the menu at a London university which has banned beef as part of its efforts to fight climate change.
From next month, Goldsmiths, University of London has said it will remove all beef product from its campus shops and cafes. Students will also face a 10p levy on bottles of water and single-use plastic cups when the academic year starts to discourage use of the products.
and further down:
Goldsmiths is the latest university to alter its menu in an attempt to cut its carbon footprint. Cambridge University’s catering services has not served any beef or lamb since 2016 is instead “promoting the consumption of more vegetarian and vegan foods”.
Fark.

Sadly, UK has enough of its home grown muppets
I am not sure about that one Nids.
I think alternatives to beef are a necessary part of the strategy to combat climate change. It is such an environmentally inefficient way of producing dietary protein for humans.
A beef tax rather than a ban might be appropriate. Wwould be effectively the same thing and would make beef a luxury food and result in a decline in consumption and take it off the menu in student canteens.
If you read the article, British farmers are right pissed off. They have been doing a fair bit to reduce the carbon footprint and make it more sustainable.
But you are right- a tax would be a more equitable way to go. This is a draconian limitation imposed by fiat, and I am never comfortable with that.
Maybe some of the Brexiteers are smarter than you think. They have a cunning plan to migrate to France on the 30th October and leaving all those fooking idiots who come up with these moronic laws stranded on the island. Unfortunately, some of Scandinavia has been infected with this British disease and there is no body of water to prevent the rest of Europe from being infected.
rest assured there will not be any Brexit Oct 31, all a pipe dream and make politicians looks useful when their fate is already sealed
REMAIN is already in the work, with REVOKE as the next step
Looper's notion of a tax is fine ,of course a niche for beef sausage smugglers.
The PC brigade hve moved on from deterring racism and homophobia to policong jokes until there will be a "right" not to be offended which will be the end to literature, satire and comedy which will not upset thses soupusses.
Hardly reactionary Germaine Greer inter alia has been no platformed for stating that that the cocks in frocks are not biologically women in the TERF wars

just a guess, but isn't it likely that british snowflakes (pro-political correctness and easily offended) would be anti-brexit?
;-)
conservatives generally prefer devolution of power, like from the federal level to the local level, while liberals don't mind bureaucrats far away making up laws for them to follow.
also recall brussels talking about ending the use of words like "mankind" and "man made".
^^ FRT, in the UK, they are fooking gay and are all fooking precious snowflakes,
that's why they hate each other, envy each other, and keep a double face to stab their friends in the back, all with a very PC apparent politeness, while in reality they are ruthless and extremely rude in all their actions
well, i guess the ruthless part of their character helped them build their empire.
does boris have enough of it in him is the question though.
;-)
no, of course not. he is going to turn around and betray all his Brexit supporters by extending or even revoking Brexit
Watch this space for more Brexit British fun
indeed, their smile is all face, they simply can't be trusted, they are devious fuckers. That's how they built their empire, negotiating in one hand and holding a knife in the other. That worked for a while but eventually everyone revolted and started wars with them.
See how big their empire is now
and they might even lose Ireland and Scotland soon
