Sent you a repo on my situation. Did you mean cousin? As in Storekeeper?? He checks in here once in a blue moon...

Glad to hear you emerged from the situation. They might as well cut off my left leg...it ain't worth two shits.

    Yup, Storekeeper.

What's up with the left leg? It's the one I've lost. The only good thing about a gone left leg is that you don't need it to drive.

    Ah those silver linings.

Russel commiseration on your loss. It must be a Canadian thing. There is fellow Canuck is or was living near me in BKK who only has 1 1/2. I think his is motorbike related.

Well I kind of did need it for my job. On SS disability now. Although I did hear that the fine company that employed me for 28+ years is getting automatics in all their new trucks. Little late for me now.

Left knee and hip are screwed with arthritis...and that's also the route of the pain from the pinched nerves in my back. Have had some injections at a pain clinic that's holding everything at bay for now. That and ER Tramadol 200MG. Nothing permanent done yet though. Not sure I want to do the replacement thng...back would still be fucked.

The body does tend to wear out

I get contuous pain of the phantom variety in missing leg, bloody uncanny the way that works. Everything still hurts right down to the exact location where the pain was previously.

I won't say that it isn't a big struggle with the missing leg. The generosity of the Canadian health care system has set me up with an 18,000 dollar bionic leg which is damn hard to get used to.

    Take care .

When I was a pup, had a great-uncle who had lost his arm. He told pretty much the same story about the phantom limb. Pretty weird...

    Cheers russ, hang in there.
