No, never did.

When I still drank, usually old no. 7, it didn't take many of them before I would start doing incredibly stupid shit. Best to give it up. Tequila would do a number on me as well.

Back in the day, in my neck of the woods, there used to be impromptu "field parties" out in the middle of nowhere. "Fruit punch," with a bottle or two of Everclear dumped in, was the vehicle to get the ladies dancing happy. That and quaaludes.

Speaking of watermelon... there also was the ever popular "drunken watermelon." Looked something like this...sometimes with more than one bottle.

^Heh...A watermelon is what some people use to smuggle booze into the cricket. Cut a careful hole in it, get as much pulp out as you can, fill t up with your favourite liquor and plug it up again.
I doubt it's still done as I'm sure security are well aware of the trick now.

Never heard of Absinthe. read a few snippets on the stuff. Sounds like a good bottle of Mezcal with a agave worm in the bottom if you ask me...

I like booze you can set on fire. I have a few special distilled "Everclear" like stuff. Just smelling it burns the nose hairs outta ya.

We call that 'shine around here.

I don't think you can get the 190 proof Everclear anymore...it was outlawed in a lot of the states anyway.

The stuff I have was made by a few friends( Illegally). We called it ever clear because the shit is totally combustible. Cannot drink it around the fire that's for sure.

Australia produces Inner Circle OP Rum. 150 proof. I've bought a coupe of bottles over the years, years ago, but TBH, it's too strong. If your thing is to get blotto ASAP, then OP is what you want.
I prefer to get blotto over several hours while enjoying my drink.

How do you measure the proof of alcohol?
I've got 6 bottles of redcurrant wine fermenting in my cellar and they are ruddy strong!!!Gotta be 200% at least
Too strong I'm ashamed to say to drink.
Might put them on fleabay or give them to the local tramps in the town centre...

Funnily enough, you can have 200 proof alcohol, but that would be 100% alcohol.

Thinking back...re: the knife in the knuckle, the Pringles cannon(from that other thread) and other incidents over the years, maybe I shouldn't blame the booze. Could be I'm just a natural born dumbass. Had yet to have booze touch my lips in the Pringles incident.

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I've heard that stuff referred to as "pure white evil." The way it was being used back then would probably get you registered as a sex offender nowadays. Back in my acid, pot and alcohol party days my buddies and I would mix up a big batch of what we called "Typhoon Punch" for big house parties. It was Everclear, Rum and a bunch of fruit punches. Shit would make you see God. Well wait a minute......let me be fair, that could have been the dope or the acid. I cannot validate which...
