A poached egg on wheat toast with butter is the end of the start of a perfect day and it was a lesson learned for me.

I was only armed with a fork and butter knife. Even after soaking the baguette crust liberally with egg yolk, it was nigh on impossible to cut with a butter knife. Baguettes have no business resting under a poached egg. Period.

The place advertises it's ham as Virginia ham, which I gave a brief chuckle to when ordering....but it was by far the best bit of ham I've had in Thailand. My gast was flabbered.

Nothing like Virginia's best. I hate to break the bubble. Never mind.

Foodland has carried Virginia style ham for years. The regular or lean cut. Damn nice and not expensive at all. With a nice slice of cheddar it makes me wonder why people even buy the square processed ham...

This was at least your second time down there for breakfast. That looks just okay but would not hold a candle to some of the great breakfasts Headworx has posted up from his breakfast adventures.

A 99 baht breakfast he eats near his place.

And while we're talking breakfasts, here's one I have occasionally at a nice little place called The Sports Lounge which is quite close to home. Comes with tea/coffee/cappaccino/espresso but the price is up there, 99 baht . Just the right size for me on the way home from golf.

Even without the cheese. The crap produced here is not worth it even if it was free.

That's great value still but i love the way they've price marked like they do in the UK i.e 99p except that now equates to nearer £2.50p

Mine had a ton of fresh cherry tomatoes hidden among the foliage....I do wish they'd have been grilled tomatos.

That pic made me go back this morning. It's changed slightly but still really good if a fry-up is on your breakfast radar, the coffee included is good, and it's still 99 Baht. Anyone who cooks at home - and there's many of us on this forum who do - will appreciate that there's no fucking way we could make that at home for a total cost of 99 Baht!.
