She has got 3 months for perverting the course of justice regarding points on her licence.
Her brother got 9 months.
Chris Huhne (exMP) got eight months in jail but was released after nine weeks.

The arrogance of these people astounds me. They bugger up Brexit and they expect the law not to apply to them.

Fiona Onasanya is still in her well paid job as MP until the local party expels her. Getting her wages in for doing nothing worthwhile.

I don't think it would matter if they expel her.

Under the Representation of the People Act 1981, you are disqualified from becoming a member of the House of Commons if you have been found guilty of an offence and sentenced to more than one year in prison, and are currently detained as a result of that offence.
Once you are released from prison, you are not prevented from standing for election as an MP.

They should change that law and make a criminal offence automatic disqualification for life.

But they won't, because the lot of them are fucking crooks innit.

She said she missed one of the letters from the police because she was being treated in hospital for a relapse of multiple sclerosis, with which she said she was diagnosed in 2012.

Former Labour MP Fiona Onasanya has lost her seat in the House of Commons after a recall petition. Onasanya, 35, became the first female MP to be jailed after lying to officers about who was driving her car to avoid a speeding ticket.

The crime caused her to be booted out of the Labour Party and now almost 20,000 registered voters in her Peterborough constituency have signed a recall petition demanding her removal.

She is the first MP ever to be removed by the recall process, introduced by David Cameron in 2015.

Some 19,261 people signed the petition – 27.64% of those eligible to take part and well above the 10% threshold for a recall.
