So one of them skipped the country. He had been summoned to face charges in court. Should have been stopped at the border.

I wonder how they dealt with the bill for the trashed rental car. Insurance should have been voided since they abandoned the car.

    Hello Orrens, welcome back.

On Pikey's. In the late 90s a troop decided they'd like to park up in a farmers field on the edge of the village, cut the cattle trough lines to get their water et al. The second night the fire brigade were called as 3 of the 5 caravans were ablaze.

The next day, a Saturday night, 3 came in the local looking to find out who'd torched their homes started mouthing off and threatening people. Thing is there's quite a few farmers get in the pub and one, nicknamed "Donk", yep after teh Dundee films was in the pisser at the time. He's a cattleman and his party piece at the village fete is to pick up bullocks a la firemans lift, he over 6' 8" and is massive, but a gentler bloke you not wish to meet. He came in and walked up to the three of them and just stood there arms folded, didn't say a word, a minute went by and they left with loads of swearing and a promise to return - never did mind and the farmers have had no Pikey trouble since. The police made half hearted attempts to find out who'd had done it, everyone in the village knew who tho. Love the place

    Nice story.
They are the scum of the earth and they wonder why they are hated so.
Its called civilisation. Learn it or fuck off.

History lesson: Oliver Cromwell deported all the gypsies to Jamaica to crop the sugar cane. They ran into the hills and carried on interbreeding.
In exasperation they brought in slaves from West Africa. And the rest is history.

And theres been an arrest warrant issued in NZ for one of this lovely family of cheeky charmers.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...w-Zealand.html

The article is basically a recap of past news stories. But its good, worth reading.
Facebook vigilantes. Rental car stripped by souvenir hunters. All the good stuff.

But why has there been no reports from their neighbours telling us they have been misunderstood, that in the UK its their right to shoplift Red Bull.

There was one report, on this thread I think, where a neighbour said they're salt of the earth types...but followed up with "Family gotta stick together".

Yeah I read that too. But what do they do for a living ? Are they of previous good character ?

I ask as NZ may not want criminals visiting their country. If they lied on their visa applications that's really naughty.

Yeah, an odd way to describe what happened. Number plate and keys, not wheels and sterio, so maybe?

    It gets worse and continues...

Two British brothers linked to a group of troublesome travellers will now appear in court tomorrow as they attempt to find a lawyer to take on their case.
The two men were due to appear in the Auckland District Court today following an investigation into alleged roofing scams in Auckland.

That must be big news in NZ. A while back I was browsing a NZ paper that reported a car had been stolen. Probably a safe place to live.

Cops still don't have sidearms. Some have a weapon in the boot of the patrol car.
