You tube views of the UK

I'm a Brit but I've been out of the country for nigh on 50 years. Yes, I go back every now and then but it's generally to visit friends and family in pretty nice areas.

Having been bed bound for the last few weeks I've been binge watching YouTube and ended up stuck on these extraordinary episodes covering debt and debtors, dole bludgers and social welfare scammers.

    I'ts extraordinary.

Sure, I accept that the makers of these series are looking for scandal and outrage but if even 25% of it is genuine I am seriously shocked.

Has the UK really turned into this appalling morass of moronic welfare dependent scum?

    Here's an initial sample;

Its the all pervasive sense of entitlement the Labour Govts and Liberals have sown combined with a welfare state that allows companies to legally offer zero hours contracts making employment sooo attractive set against tax credits, the future is bright, the future is orange.

    ^ Load of bullshit.

There has been 9 years of tory enforced transfer of wealth from the lower and middle class to the rich, meaning a total collapse of the lower middle class in the country. By design. Every single piece of infrastructure has been privatised, following blair and brown continuing Majors thatecherite policies. With every public service or publicly owned asset they have inserted at least 2 layers and a middle man of industry in between scooping out 80-90% of all tax payers money. Jobs are crushed by the EUs import of cheap worker, collapsing pay, conditions and then the jobs are moved to eastern europe anyway. Blair / Brown were basically thatcherites. tory through and through of whom Thatcher said they were her greatest achievement.

Bit by bit, the country is being gutted and destroyed by the enemy within, the Tory party, hand in hand with their mates in the labour party and the unlib undems. An accelerated program of destroying the country, cheered on by cap doffing idiots (see below) and ignored by many too chasing the celeb tittle tattle.

The programs you are watching are about vilifying the people who have had their lives reduced to rubble. By doing this, everyone will blame the people, call them louts, shirkers, scum bags, bludgers and completely ignore the fact that the system that they vote for and support is causing the greatest collapse in the UKs society probably in history when judged by the actual numbers of people involved.

There is no hope. There is no reverse from this as when the baby boomer generation completely die off all of their accrued wealth will be seamlessly moved to the elite through privatised healthcare and home support / care homes, inheritance tax (which is returned to the elites through the privatised public services) and big pharma keeping people alive for as long as it takes to drain them financially. Once this is complete the country will be a shell. The rich at the top. The workers of variable nationality at the bottom servicing their needs. You're not in the elite unless your assets are in hundreds of millions so no need to feel snug. Anything less than that, then you are the next target for wringing out. The country is in its death throws. Don't blame the people for being poor and desperate though - blame the people who stole it all from them and the cu nts who makes the laws allowing them to do this.

By the way - I like "Can't Pay, we'll take it away". there's a great episode where they evict a Romanian brothel.

Blame Labour under Blair/Brown, massively increased welfare spending so it became a lifestyle choice for many. While the Tories have cut benefits since been in power not gone nearly far enough.

Frankie Boyle is a comedian who's general attitude is global at most, and national at least. He deals with the big picture, which I applaud. These programs, which are I admit SUN /Daily Mail type sensationalism I still find appalling.

I posted this to see if any other expat poms had views.

Don't really know who the gent is.

However as someone who detests the state, the party politics game (load of pedos), its an accurate portrayal of what is happening in the UK.

Gent = SeekingAsylum, the comparison was also a joke.

The one thing I do think other EU countries have rightly done well is to protect and encourage their industry. Germany in particular, led by private family businesses their medium sized industry, where young people desire and are encouraged to view careers as a life; they are in the business for generations. Instead the fractured nature of the UK's diminished industry, with any new successes sold off to private equity / venture capitalists / hedge funds is all about profit motive first so we'll always lose and stay in the perpetual downward spiral...... sadly.

^ you need to have a better understanding of how Germany used their position as basically being the treasury of the EU to destroy all competition and use eastern europe as a dirt cheap supply chain for them. People in the UK want a career and job for life. But there is no option for that now. All by design, making the UK a bank, Germany the engineering hub. Its also why the UK will never be allowed to leave the EU but that's another thread.

When you realise that all political parties have a central group who pick their candidates, and that group report to their donors, and the same type of donors want the same thing - transfer of wealth to them and complete control. Then you see that politics is bullshit. Political parties are all the same. Some politicians might seem different but they can not do anything positive. watch if Corbyn does get in if he does do anything he pledges to. If he could, they will never let him in .

Yet you need to start a thread to find out whether or not they're divisive, insidious bollocks that only prove who owns the media?

Why on earth shouldn't I start a thread on whether or not they're divisive, insidious bollocks that only prove who owns the media?

Clearly, but it doesn't alter the short term investment nature engendered in the UK vs Germany's generational attitude and that didn't start with the inception of the EU. I think we are at cross purposes so we'll leave it there.

I know exactly what you are talking about - virtually every company started in the UK has an exit strategy after 5-7 years with the same choices being

1 - get debt to grow
2 - Sell equity to grow
3 - sell and make like a bandit.

But to infer this is a UK only problem is false. To also infer that this is the reason why the UK is being fucked by design right now and Germany is doing all right is disingenuous.

Sid, it was a general observation not an all encompassing statement, you can't sum up the corporate and industrial differences between the countries in a couple of paragraphs of opinion. Can we leave it at that?

    No.

I've been quitting discussions early all my life and marriage, in fact the last woman who tried to have a discussion with me on marital vows got a divorce letter. But the absolute last word on this is.......

Fcuk, I watched that video for all of 5 minutes, and then decided that it was too revolting to see all those lard-buckets harping on about their entitlements.

I feel sorry for the OAPs who have to struggle to get by on a few quid...

It reinforces my belief that when I get old (older), there is zero reason for me to return to the UK. Even if I didn't have 2 baht to rub together, I'm sure that I could find food and lodgings at a local temple, in return for some work, (the visa is always a problem of course).

When I lived in north Phuket, all my lunches were free, courtesy of the local temple, who were given too much food during morning alms.....

Better to live like a pauper in sunny Thailand/Myanmar, than live in modern-day UK..
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
