Crappy Days and how to deal with them

Have them often? Luckily, I don't- today was an eye-rolling day but hardly crappy.
When days go south I live to get active and blow of some steam: hiking, gym a jog or bedroom gymnastics- that sort of stuff.

Good dinner and a couple of cold beers.

It's a funny thing but the old saying, "chin up" actually works. Same thing as putting a smile on your face. Doing those two physical things seems to trick your body into believing everything is OK, and lo and behold, you feel better!

Alcohol is a good escape too. Good book or good movie while sipping your poison of choice is relaxing.

I have usually been solving problems created by imbeciles if I’m seething with controlled rage.
Experience reminds me that the problems have always gone away in the past and these will too.
In the meantime I’m not dismayed but energised until the idiots are back in their boxes.

A couple of ice cold beers (liberally laced with a heavy handed shot of the good stuff) usually does the trick.

Bed is always another good choice, even a short nap can clear the mind- can't really do that at work, though .
Planning travel- this always puts short time annoyances into perspective and give me something to look forward to.

    I usually write.

Could be songs, to do lists, other plans, draw maps, travel stuff or just whinge and complain. Like a lil bitch

If I'm at work I write it in Hangul but use Thai vocabulary, in case anyone peeks. Knuts

Just had a couple of handfuls of strawberries out of the garden - compensates for a lot of today’s aggravation.

I generally find that my reasons for being angry, frustrated, angry are really to do with me.
Solitude, bed and a book, bedroom doors locked, allows me to calm down.
I kinda pretend to meditate. I've no idea if its the pucker gen meditation espoused by so many "experts" but it works for me.
Then, after a couple of hours I'm ready face the outside world again. All be it for a limited amount of time.
I'm very fortunate to have a wife who understands.
    Yes, I'm a lucky man.

This won't go over that well but sincerely...when I'm having a particularly rough one - excess water & inverting zaps the blues away, almost instantaneously.

Immediately going to bed for the day always works for me. I wake up with a new mindset, or reset.

    How's it going JP?

I usually focus on those less fortunate than me. This usually puts whatever funk or relatively minor shit you are getting hung up on into perspective; money trouble, people pissing you off, things just not working out how you'd like them - most of these are minor irritants and there are people going through life altering or mortal issues - they are problems to get you down, most of us getting in a funk on life's road are just experiencing a rumble strip or speed bump but not a brick wall

Sorry can't green you on those thoughts. I think you have it nailed down though. Contentment must be from within ones self. Trust me I've battled with many complicated situations and have found that it's all a matter of perspective on rolling through.

Holy shit, a foot long lizard just fell from the roof of the deck. Made me jump a bit as I thought it had fallen into my cake. Just kidding, I jumped because I once lived in the city. Lizards would be the least of my worries....fish.

No joke, was this fucker eyeing my cake all along? I've known frogmen that travel the rivers edge with riffles in search of food and I know from what I've seen we have it good so always count your blessings.

one fish, two fish, none for you fish.
