So, here we are again, Xmas. What are your plans for the festive fakery?

    I might get up?
Then again remaining horizontal hurts less.
Fly to friends and family seems fruitless.
I don't eat much these days so going for the traditional full on Xmas lunch/dinner, which I used to love seems silly.
    I really can't decide.

What are you folk planning for the festivities?

Getting back to CM on Christmas Eve.

It's gonna be a good one!

I did the whole xmas dinner palaver until a few years back. Now I just can't be arsed.

Sai Oua and Nam Prik Noom will be there somewhere.

We're doing Christmas on the 15th as the inlaws and nieces are traveling to England for Christmas/New Years. My plan was to do the sunrise taco turkey set but nobody seemed interested in chipping in so I guess it will be the usual mixture of pot luck stuff.

I have to work the week of Christmas, but there are no classes on Christmas day so I'm hoping to get the coworkers to chip in on the 12 person turkey set.

For New Years, we always stay home, too many people traveling to make it worth going anywhere and maybe we'll hit up a couple of restaurants, we've yet to make it to the Hungry Burro.

Could take it off as a religious holiday, but will just go into work as I am on holiday from the 27th. A nice dinner somewhere on the 25th- will be doing something with friends and their families the weekend before- we were able to have Thanksgiving as the YMCA as a friends's husband runs it here in UB, it was a very nice chilled out event with everyone bringing something to make the large spread of food complete.

There might even be some snow, but I can guarantee cold festive weather

Will put the tree up this year as both kids are coming home for Christmas. They have friends coming as well so it will be busy. The 29th one of my oldest friends is arriving for a month. So will spend a week showing him around the beaches of south Thailand. Really looking for to the holidays this year.

I don't do Christmas anymore. Stopped years ago. Christmas isn't what it used to be. It's just another consumer holiday so people can judge you on what you do or do not buy them. I celebrate year round and do not need a holiday to make that happen.

I am looking forward to feel some heat this festive season- the New Year cannot come soon enough. A sub 200 AQI is going to feel great, I bet!

Will be staying at home in Banchang for Xmas. Will put the tree and some decorations up a few days before the event. Our boy is just 7yo and still believes in Santa Claus, bless him.
Probably go out for Christmas dinner somewhere local, and then the neighbour and old friend is having a party round his on Christmas Day. Sorted.

Wife and I will have the annual debate over whether to put up a tree and outside decorations. Will end up doing so as granddaughters will carry the day.

I'm gonna be having it in Thailand for the first time in years and will try and make it as festive as possible.

I shall be making my own mince pies again with Robertsons mincemeat. Dont like Xmas Pudding. There's plenty of turkeys in Villamarket now but I prefer chicken and lamb. Gonna get some duck fat for the roast spuds and chiuck the veg in there too.
Got all the presents sorted and will get the tree up this weekend.

Tree will go up a few days before. There will be a few small gifts under it for the young niece, and my boy will get a decent present (apparently an electric guitar is the current favourite, to go with the bass guitar he got for his birthday). The Thai family in Bangkok will gather for an evening. Xmas turkey with full trimmings ordered already and will be delivered on the day. I foresee much eating of turkey and a fair quaffing of wine.
