Ordering the Lego Saturn V rocket for meself.

I'll wrap it and label it for the kid so she'll consider it as her present.

Then I'll help her out by building it all and keeping it in me condo.

When the fuck did you learn to cook, or is Jeff staying at your place over Christmas?

Not sure which way we'll go this year, it's a toss-up between an early trip to the seafood markets for prawns and eating lunch at home, or going to one of the many Christmas lunch spreads locally (Mantra being the likely choice). Either way, we'll take in an afternoon movie at Central or Terminal 21 and have a few drinks in the evening somewhere. Hopefully the weather is cool, that'll do me for a Christmas present to go along with the obligatory golf shirt.

Like Jeff, I talk a good game

Might go somewhere actually, if there's somewhere with the right atmosphere, somewhere with families and loads of kids would be good for the nipper

A Prime Rib dinner with all the trimmings and then a modest gift exchange usually by a crackling fire. Followed by desert. All spread out over the course of the evening and it is always done on Christmas Eve. I usually do fcuk all on Christmas day.

If you haven't seen the add elsewhere, the afternoon sitting might be in the ballpark of what you're after.

So, here we are again, Xmas. What are your plans for the festive fakery?-46384973_10155874286066918_8607645125868257280_n-jpg

I've not done a trad xmas diner in over 15 years, never really got turkey and as a family we preferred rib of beef or goose. In thailand i find it too hot to cook and eat enormous meals. Sadly Fil will likely not be around for xmas so it may be a little sombre. So i'll probably obtain a load of good brown crabs, prawns and i am bringing about 4 packs of smoked salmon (from a bloke who makes his own), rice, salad et al and we'll decamp together with a small bar to a riverside location we go to with a BBQ and cook and get mellow there til the sun goes down.

I have grandiose plans of nut roasts, crackers and board games. But I'll probably end up getting cunted on single malt and throwing discarded wrapping paper at the television.

Why don't you grab a Mont Clair cask and drop-in on the Luigi clan?

Heaps of conversation points, some girly gossip

    Kids about the same age.

    Sorted!

Well, I see 2 potential problems.

I doubt he'd get past the first security check, or fit through the 2nd.

I prefer to celebrate the ancient Druid custom of gift-giving gestures of love, friendship and peace,...commencing with the annual celebratory event of the Winter Solstice.

I'll also donate some time with transcendent meditation, in hopes of the western world (the U.S. particularly) will someday desist...from the annual premeditated slaughter of 1,000,000 + Evergreen trees.

Festive fakery,...indeed it is,...considering that Xmas Day (only) commemorates an event that never happened, 2000+ years ago,...in the first (Bethlehem) place. People,...and their goddamed religions...

What if one is observant from the Southern Hemisphere, where the summer solstice is dominion?
