    BUTTSECS échec. Part deux.

    Fook, Fook, Fook

I tried to upgrade my great WinXP that has been running continuously for 8 years to a new SSD drive

cloned the partition etc... everything good and then BAM!!! can't boot, corrupted SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM registry file

after a few scandisk check, turns out the partition was fooked too, and I suspect a nasty virus that has been disabled years ago had damaged slightly some file structure which are no longer recoverable in the new partition, yet still can be read in the old partition.

This is a fooking tragedy, spent all day day trying to recover the damn thing with different solutions, not working

looks like I have to do a clean install on the SSD drive, and re-install all my specific business apps to run all my ops again

    fuck that shit !!!

Shit happens, been through it many times, but as long as your biz/personal files are safely backed up the reinstall is a just another day from your miserable life. And on the bright side you will end up with a clean install clear of junk files. Try Win 10, never had a serious issue in three years, longest free run ever.

the software are supported, nothing to do with the OS, even though some fookwits still try to use this as an excuse for not supporting certain software apps, fooking Indians

had to hack the registry to get the full support of WinXP until 2019, so I still have 1 good year left of running XP

I have Win10 for other specific uses, mostly wanking on porn

I had to disable the ridiculous Windows Update, and it works great now. I don't like much the interface, feels like on a crappy iMac, but was enable to "redesign" the UI into WinXP thanks to a few utility out there

might have to go that route eventually, but not before I can restore a working WinXP on my new SSD

Be glad you know enough to fix it. For most folk it'd be off to the trash bin.

You maybe right, I am not and never claim to have more than a layman's catch up on technology,

Can you explain why XP is safe, is it Windows wishing to sell new stuff/spy on us.

Is it any safer to use Mac or Linux it is extremely hard to get a clear answer online where everyone either has a vested in interested inselling you some software/cleaner etc or people who are not expert in the latest threats.

This is not intended as a crtiticism more as an enquiry?

and you are a bigger idiot for letting that shit run through your system, shows how much you don't know

only newbies and idiots like low security indians like Harry think Windows Update is going to protect their system while in fact it exposes them to hundreds of new security flaws

dude, fuck off back to NTD

    short answer: NONE OF THEM

that's why updating OS is a waste of time, if hackers want to get you, they will get you, period. Your only protection is your usage behavior. Even the Pentagon "secure" network is completely compromised.

Why do you think the Kremlin went back to typewriters for confidential memos

Did they provide better SyOps advice on NTD? is that where the hurt comes from. So basically, you are suggesting all the resource pumped into windows upgrades is for nought, and that your safest bet is to surf Porn Sites in a safe manner -OK
