I like Picture 3, it would have been really good if it was a sunset but the lack of detail on the right due to blown out highlights is going to be difficult to fix. The last picture shows the limitation of the camera you chose, unable to limit field of view enough to make the subject stand out.

Does the camera allow post picture processing or does it output only jpeg files?

I like this photo, HNZ. I like the focus on the dog but also that the background is not too blurred so it can be seen too without taking away from the dog. The lighting is also good throughout the photo.

I downloaded a couple of plug-ins for Gimp today. One of them was G'mic, which has a whole load of different filter effects.

Mucking around with a photo of an ear of corn, I liked a few of the artistic effects, although cubism may not appeal to all. The abstract filters were good as well.

^ Great views, which pastille colour did you decide on in the end? Not one of those 5 shades of grey I hope

Having spent £60 on tester pots, yesterday I threw in the towel and hired a local interior designer to choose colours and some final fit bits. She has produced 5 moods for me to choose. I have decided upon “energetic coastal”. Yes, really.

There’s a small garden at the back. the contractor finished the landscaping today. Want to plant lots of bee friendly things in pots and planters. The idea was to emulate a shingle beach by using 5 ton of, er, shingle. And some wood sleeper type planks slotted into I beams to look like beach groynes. Plants (shrubs) can be planted into the ground with a bit of effort cutting open the membrane and adding extra compost to the subsoil Post any pic anytime as many as u like-381dbeba-3650-413f-976c-710913481583-jpgPost any pic anytime as many as u like-d1ecd480-224e-4259-8cee-51abbe754fce-jpg

I thought it looked a bit moody. I'm looking for a pic to use as a feature wall / wallpaper. Is it a bit crap, you think??

You'll need a supply of seaweed to get the authentic aroma.

Nice. Looks good, low maintenance. A few big planters and you can sit back with a cocktail and wait for the tide to come in.

    Brrrrrr.

I'd have gone with the passionate pastille orange. Blue always gives the impression of cold.

    That's nice.

Did you consider moving the windows back to create a balcony?
