That pipeline looks a little exposed. Don't they protect them in any way?
^ Smaller diameter pipelines and cables are usually trenched below seabed, or if the soil's too hard for trenching may be gravel dumped. Mainly for protection against trawling.
This pipeline is 44" diameter and with several inches of reinforced concrete coating. There's not much that can damage it. Ships are supposed to anchor in designated areas away from any subea assets.
Yeah a monkfish. The Norwegians do a great dish with these, the tail is kind of rolled up and poached. There's not much meat on each fish though, they're nearly all head.
^ yep all head. As a kid the fishermen used to use the fish for bait in lines or crab pots then someone discovered they could make a scampi substitute and the price went through the roof and now these fukin trendy chef wankers have pushed the price up further.
When I'm at home this is what greets me every single morning around 6am. They want their morning walkies. Its like I've been away for weeks, not just for a few hours.
We have to keep them out back during the night or they'll start barking with the neighbours dogs at the front. They get the run of the workshop and have the life of Reilly.
They're a motley assortment but I miss these guys when I'm away. And my daughter of course... oh, and my good wife!
^ They can get a bit tangled up at times.
...so, these are all former soi dogs brought to civilization by your efforts?...
Yes!
Left to right... Tommy, 9 months old, part of a litter from a pregnant bitch dumped up the road from us. We re-homed the rest of the litter. Me at back. Yogi (at front), 5 months old, part of a litter from a feral dog living about a kilometre away (on my dog walking route). We found him a home along with the rest of the litter but were let down, so ended up keeping him (didn't have the heart to put him back out on the street). Dan, 13 years old and found as a puppy after being hit by a car and half dead in Korat city. She is/has been a great dog (we lost her brother last year to cancer). And Max, 4 years old, found on the side of a busy main road after being dumped on his own as a very young puppy.
...^green owed...thanks for the family portrait...
My daughter recently sent me some old family photos from the collection in the UK.
Here are some of one of my Scottish Deerhounds. He was born in New York state from an Am. Ch. Lure Courser dog x Am. Ch. Show Champion bitch, flown to Alberta at 8 weeks old, lastly flown to UK and 6 months quarantine and lived a happy, but short life. Lost on the vet's operating table, due to a ruptured Gall Bladder, I was told.
He was the first SD to be imported back to the UK for 50 years. His blood line was utilised.:
Back Garden
Winning "Reserve Best In Show" at the annual Scottish Deerhound Annual Breed Show. They are judged against the breed standard, height to length, depth of chest, muscle mass, feet toe tightness, even their ear carriage along with their jogging performance, by a breed specialist.
As per the Cruft's dog show in London.
I suspect his new bloodline assisted his selection by the then, most famous breeders.
Awaiting his turn to impress the coursing judge and watching other hounds give chase, Dava Moor, Scotland.
A coursing week held, in the past, every November. He was not so good as a coursing hound. Although very fast in the run up, catching up with the hare, the slightly smaller and compact UK bred hounds could turn tighter, as could the Scots hares.
Hill Head Beach, Hampshire, UK. The other dog, in the background, is my mother's terrier. The lady is an old girlfriend of my brother.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
^ Mate, others maybe be different ... but I can't see any of your images above ...
Can see them no problem on me Win 7 PC.
They've already been changed to the TD hosted img url.
I can't see em either
OK now?
...thanks...rescue dogs are the way to go...
^^ All good
Fit for purpose is my determinant.
Living in Alberta at the time, initially to the east of Calgary where the land is flat wheat prairie land. The wildlife is
Coyotes
and
Jack Rabbits.
My
Gordon Setter
was too slow,
the
whippet
too small, the rabbits were it's size.
The Deerhounds were fast enough for catching the Jack Rabbits and large enough to chase or scare away the Coyote packs.
Pure-breds also ensure you dont buy/acquire a pig in a poke.
But it is as always "up to you".
God this is shit software.
