There was a very interesting thread by a poster a few years ago, based on his work at an oil rig port in Korea (I think), and Panama Hat did a great one about his work as a shipping pilot of some sort in a harbour in Singapore.
There was another lad that did a good picture thread while doing some offshore exploration work .
