Sounds like my gas range/oven I recently replaced. The repairman flat out told me I would be better off buying new than paying him to fix the old one. It had a bad circuit board as well. $300+ to fix the old vs. $620 for the new one.

An intersection in Phrae where despite getting a green arrow to turn right, the oncoming traffic also gets a green.

Yeah YD. Blowing some points on a five night stay. Stayed here many times over the years, do prefer a room on the upstream/north side of the property but didn't get it this time. When I first started staying here there was only one multi-story building on the opposite riverbank for a kilometer downstream and three upstream. Regards, -BiP

I normally stay at the Hilton in your pic. Still have Diamond that expires next year, so I might check it out one last time as I still haven't visited Icon.

    Hotels in Thailand are great!

Agree re many hotels in Thailand although was telling someone yesterday the best hotel experience I've ever had from a customer service perspective was Grosvenor House in the Dubai Marina. May well be my last decent hotel stay for a while. Got Platinum till the end of 2019 but unless I rekindle the career will not get the points accrual. Not sure I'm going to miss it too much. Once calculated I'd stayed at least 2,000+ nights in hotels. Regards, -BiP
