Wow! That looks incredible.
^^ Liked that Bar one
i planted some wild flower seeds in May to see how they grew.
There's a patch of land, approx one third of an acre near me in England that belongs to the local council. It's a bit unkempt. Mown weeds, a few bits of dog poo and ofd bits of litter.
i approached the local council to adopt it as a community project to re-wild it with native flora as a wild flower meadow. It meant knocking on a few dozen doors and getting consensus from
other residents.
We now have permission to go ahead. The process involves reducing fertility by cut and collect until the late Autumn. Then scarrifying the grass and removal of turf in 50 or so 60cm sq spots to sow Yellow Rattle in Autumn.
meanwhile I'm trying to organise local groups to forage for wild seeds.
in Spring we will scarrify again, cut another 50 plots and sow wild flower seeds. Then leave it to grow till Autumn 2022.
The reason forvturf cutting is to accelerate the re wilding process.
perhaps i should do a thread?
