Into my sixth week at work and no end in sight yet.

This morning the wife sent me a pic of her nice pair of grapefruits to tempt me home.

And no, that's not a euphemism!

Grapefruits or pomelo?

Well, you live and learn! I've always called these grapefruit.

Grapefruit and pomelos are both citrus fruit, but that's about where the similarity ends. ... The pomelo is a separate species while the grapefruit is a hybrid resulting from crossing sweet orange (Citrus sinesis) with pomelo (Citrus maxima). In fact, the fruit differ in almost every way – shape, colour, size and taste.

Our new boy Chock-dee heading back from Alabama last month.

For all those that suggested a new puppy would relieve some pain from the lost of our old pal woody he has definitely bought a bit of joy back.

Small enough to bath in the sink.

When he's not sleeping he's going ape so we love it when he sleeps.

Still has puppy fuzz here.

A bit bigger now this was last weekend. Not much of a walker yet he's only 3 months old.

yup, Pomello they are. We've got about 20 trees in the garden. Delicious fruit, especially when chilled a tad. Most of our valley is Pomello orchards and they export them all over the world. Bloody good business.

Keeping grand kids occupied is a pleasure and a relief......

Kunming around 2005/6.






Traveled there by boat up the Mekhong, starting in Chaeng Saen in Chiang Rai.

Then up the Mekhong for 2 days spliting Thailand, Laos, Burma and China.


Wasn't half as fokin' romantic as it originally sounded.



2 days of sitting on a wooden seat inhaling pure diesel smoke.

Train up around the country for two months or so, then Air Asia from Xiamen back to Bkk. Happy days.







Cool country to travel by train.

Restaurant carriage drinking beer and losing money playing Chinese Poker while being pointed, laughed and jeered at as the countryside rolled by.
