There was a vid posted on the Drone website I am a member on and a guy flew his Mavic out to an Osprey nest on top of a pillar in the water and the bird of prey made short work of the drone.Quote:

The local guy I know brought her a baby halibut (25lbs). He left it near the shore under her nest and she just stayed put for awhile...
After an hour or so, a golden eagle comes in and zeroes in on the fish. While attempting to fly off with the ill gotten booty, she struck hard. Knocked the golden out of the sky, ate it and had the halibut the next day. :)

Wedgetailed Eagles nests are protected in Australia and you are not allowed within 100m of known nesting sites during the breeding season never mind fly drones round them.Quote:
