The introduction of AI into the equation has further refined the model in that, for example, investment banking is now largely a matter of watching screens as the algorithms do their job. Whether it be financial management, industrial manufacture or public sector management of legislative diktat, the majority are not required to manifest intelligence other than the wit to follow instructions. Obedience, loyalty, compliance and confidentiality are the new corporate watchwords and if you want to stray, we got confidentiality/ non- disclosure contracts to keep your mouth shut.
