Its a recent development since LD became single, theyz all worried to put their real pic up.

Compared to other Thai wives I have seen, with certain exceptions (Loy Toy's wife being one) many are pretty ugly. My wife was a princess in comparison, though admittedly looks like a Jungle Bunny in some photos.

I can see now that there is no real hope for farang-Thai relationships....they are like a diode or one-way valve for money transfer.

IMO most of the foreigners here can only judge by what they see in bars. The pretty gals are found in factories and in the working class. I suspect in the next 5 or so years all that's gonna be in bars are tore up, worn out uneducated women.

Times are a changing and fat or old foreigners are just that...fat or old. The Thai women nowadays have their own money, careers and jobs. They have no need to screw old foreigner men for money. If you are going to want to meet and date a pretty woman it's going to take some looks, a personality and of course a stable financial position.

Measuring and judging a whole gender [and culture] solely by what one experiences from girly bars is rather pathetic.

actually I find the office girls look even more trashy, and when they are not, plain boring

go to Thai discos, no whores, only normal girls and guy going for fun, and the ratio of fatties is dramatically up, and their look is very very trashy

conicidentally, just this morning my wife showed me a "thing" going around on Thai social media. It shows two woman, pic 1 and pic 2. Pic one is of a young Thai woman who only her mother would say is ok looking, and most would say is downright ugly. Pic 2 is of a very pretty Thai girl. Pic one is of a girl with a masters degree and several other qualifications, while girl 2 has nothing. The question; Who would you hire? The vast majority of replies chose pic 2 to be employed while my wife chose girl 1 as the common sense (and only) option.
I suspect, and like to think, most intelligent Westerners would employ girl 1... but maybe not TD members

But seriously...why would you hire a pretty but dumb thing over a person who can do the job properly? It's a no-brainer (excuse the pun) to me.

well these days, work in corporation doesn't require brain, it's really a slave job, so having brains doesn't help you at the end, au contraire

as an employer, would you rather see every day an ugly face frustrated by her daily boring tasks, and making judgment calls about your business, or some pretty light head whose only job would be to provide you visual please at minimum, or sexual pleasure, at maximumus

I will choose #2, nobody care about smart people anymore, jobs are for dummies these days, they all follow some kind of inhouse procedure

Indeed. Can afford more creature comforts, rich foods and pay others to do work for them thus gaining weight. Plus more can afford TVs and better internet and likely sit around more as well. This is what has happened to the states. Simple equation really: Too much convenience + garbage food + no physical activity = Fatties.

^^So, do corporations not hire bosses, middle management and thinkers, policy makers etc? Do they have to be pretty also? Don't hire men if you're a male heterosexual employer?
I want competant employees. People who will speak up and introduce new ideas even if they're the floor sweepers.
I'm sure I'm not alone in that, at least amongst employers outside of Thailand.
