    Bare Necessity, Paddington coins it

    https://www.independent.ie/business/...-37408079.html

In this veil of tears lovely that a fantasy animal has arrived on Brits 50p, tho you'll pay a lot a more!! I recall era when Ireland had fish and horse on the coins pre Euro ,any human inevitably too contraversial, I recall souvenir Nepalese note given to me by the prince i 75 sadly lost and some very colorful kangaroos on the Strine scrip.

The coins are available from the Royal Mint in Lllantrisant Wales in tribute to Gerraint

A very old Welsh joke at Smith Kendon's from the era when the Polo sweet was heavily promoted as the Mint with hole described Lllantrisant as

    'THE HOLE WITH THE MINT'

I've got a Peter Rabbit .50p. Worth between .50p and £125 according to Ebay.

As a kid you collected the old pennies with Victoria or George heads on. Then you spent them when you needed an emergency sherbet dab.
