Thread: Seal Slaps Kayaker In The Face With Massive Octopus

I was going to post this in the Youtube thread, but it is not a Youtube video, so people like Cujo, who can't view Youtube, will not pass it by. Besides that, it deserves its own thread....

Just imagine if it was you, and the octopus had latched on across your face.....

I reckon it was just doing what it would normally do if there was a rock or floating log nearby: Slap the dinner on something hard to stun it.

I speared an octopus once (I've speared a few, but this once...) and threw it into my canoe. Next fish I came up with to put in the canoe, and my octopus was gone. Guess I should have known to slap it on something hard first.

As a matter of interest, I found I was allergic to octopus. I can eat a little, but if I have a full meal I break out in hives. Squid, no problem.
