Tigers actually have striped skin, not just striped fur.

Julian Lennon had to purchase through auction the letters that he had written to his father, John Lennon, because Yoko Ono refused to give them to him.

That's because any damaged aircraft in the air will attempt a landing if possible, where no damaged aircraft on the ground will attempt a takeoff.

I imagine the % is far higher if the descent is to include descending into the ground like a rock.

In that case it wouldn't be the descent but the sudden stop.

Potential lifesaver: The headrest of car seats is designed to be detachable so that it could be removed and used to break open a window in case of fire or other emergency. In the same evacuation context, car window glass is also structured so that it can more easily be broken from the inside.

^ I don't believe that claim. They weren't designed to break windows, it's just a coincidence that they can be used for that.

    ^ Seconded

This paragraph from the link below kinda summed it up...

I did some poking around the internet and found a very long (and dull) document about headrest function and design written by NHTSA. Despite being at least 10 pages long, there is nothing in it about the potential to break vehicle windows.

    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Designed to be detachable as a potential tool; if the headrests were designed to break windows they could simply clip a hammer or spark plug to each door.

I saw a couple of these at a US (SF, LA?) zoo, lumbering back and forth between their ponds and making whirlpools, kids loved it.

Between mushroom and tomato were banana and blueberry versions, both popular, but died off for some unknown reason.
