Because your 60s when retired are gonna be so much better than your 30s/40s not having to work.

Things aren't as rosy as you think.

May need to back to Canada and get a real job.

Things might be even worse than that...when you go back looking for a "real job".

Some of the old codgers tefling in Bkk are in their 60s. Age isn't an issue it seems.
They probably look in the mirror and think they haven't aged in the years since they arrived

I wouldn't consider going back to the UK to look for work at 60 years old, (even with my wonderful qualifications and work experiences!).

Best I could hope for is maybe shelf-stacker at Tescos, Waitrose perhaps if they take into account my Masters degrees.....

Better to stay where I am in Myanmar, earning a decent salary, easy job, zero stress blah blah blah
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile

    How's life in UK stressful?

If you fail as a shelf stacked you have dole...and free healthcare.

And don't have to go to bed thinking if you're going to shit it again tonight from yet another food poisoning.

You could maybe get a trial with Leeds United FC?

I don't really know why, but that option doesn't seem to be on my list.

Most of my working career in the UK/mainland Europe was working as an RF (radio frequency) design engineer, designing satcomms, mobile comms, telecoms etc circuits and systems.

To be honest, if I returned to the UK now, I'd be like a fish out of water. I'm much happier with my life in south-east Asia, (especially since I ditched all 3 wives!)

Try buying your ingredients from a reputable source, buy a fridge and some recipe books. Instead of buying "food" from street stalls at 30B a pop.
